Hi.

I have a Neo Qnote Laptop, wanting to integrate it to the car. Facing one major problem: power supply. I can't seem to find a car kit(car adapter) for this brand. Do they exist? I guess I have to resort to using a power inverter. Where can I buy a cheap one?

Also, I'm thinking of putting a mobile monitor on the car. Problem is, the laptop does not have an S-video output but the one for computer monitors. Can I still hook up somehow an LCD screen for cars to this thing?

One last thing, is there a mobile internet solution I can use so that I can surf the Net whereever I go? I thought the Smart Wi-Fi service would fulfill this purpose, but I believe it cannot be done in a car. Oh yeah, the laptop has built-in Wi-fi.

Well I do not know much about PCs, so any help recieved is very much appreciated. Thanks guys.

PS: Not sure if this is the right board for this.....

Bayantel was offering me something like that, P799, reduced price 'coz we already had an existing bayantel line. they said you can surf even while the car is moving, though some parts of the metro aren't covered yet. give 'em a call, I turned it down since the line was my DSL/phone here at hte dorm and that one had to have a 2 year contract, but I've got only one more sem to go.

you can check out the latest issue of tech and tuner magazine.. na feature dun yun mazda 3 ng friend ko.

he installed a mac mini with touch-screen monitor on dash. complete with power supply, bluetooth keyboard/mouse etc..

the mac mini has build-in wifi card already.. so just have to find a nearby hotspot and park next to it.

but if you like contineous internet connection while travelling.. check out the service of broadbandphilippines. i think its based on 3G technology.. and their rates are pretty good too.

good luck!

Hmm for the power supply try checking OCTAGON computer store sa Megamall (because this is the one of the bigger stores) or check their site www.octagon.com.ph baka meron sila car kit.

"Problem is, the laptop does not have an S-video output but the one for computer monitors." (Is this the BLUE one?) baka meron sila converter cable nyan para magamit LCD using the BLUE connection.

For the mobile internet, well you can purchase the ones being advertised by Globe and Smart prepaid wifi service or subscribe to their service. They will give you a USB modem device where in you can plug this to your USB and off you go surfing! No need to use your built in wifi anymore unless nasa wifi hotspot ka
