it was dispalyed in Promenade sometime October last year. Unang punta ko dun, wala yung sales rep. I took some pics. Then nung pagbalik ko dun two days after, may sales rep. Sales talk to the max. Poor quality. Yung seates panget, window rollers hindi lapat, cheap plastics, gearshift sobrang lapit sa audio, audio system parang my in-dash cd player pero wala, yung door handles, angatin mo nagsqsqueek, yung tunog ng doors pag isasara parang filing cabinet and worse, sira yung handbrake. I called the attention of the lady sales rep. Sabi ko "ma'am, naka baba po yung hand brake". She replied "sige sir, paki angat nalang". I tried to pull it pero bumababa. Sabi ko "kayo nalang, ayaw sakin", then she pulled it pero ayaw talaga. Nung last day ng display ng geely ha1.0 sa promenade, nasira daw yung hood. The lady sales rep also said that the gelly ha1.0 will be built in sta rosa.

350k, as you guys said, spend it nalang sa 2nd hand japanese car.

by the way, parang I read somewhere na hindi na matutuloy yung sales ng Geely dito because of the quality issues.

test driving the car first is

cherry is much better. drove their whole lineup sa test track nila sa factory in china and was pretty impressed. engine and suspension were pretty solid and build quality was decent. not to many squeaks even on the lowest model.

erm, my tito and grandfather are trying to help them enter the US market so when we were in china they gave us the grand tour of the factory. galing, we saw whole chassis getting built from the ground up including painting, etc.

they also have a new powerplant factory where they make their own engines which are compliant with the strictest emmission standards in europe. all pretty high tech if you ask me.

medyo "liberal" sila with styling. the qq is said to have copied the chevy, the other car i drove looks almost EXACTLY like the toyota rav 4. bumpers, lights and instrumentation lang pinagbago. hahaha! i asked the representative nga about it being based on the rav 4 and nagalit sya sa akin like i was insinuating something. hahaha!

pero not much to complain about for the price.  ;D

future plans call for a rival to the s-class by 2008 and a supercar by 2010 or so  ;D

Wow :o Huge plans for a new company! I mean, Ferrari never really built a real supercar until the GT40 kicked its butt! (Kidding ;D )

they're partially (or wholly, i'm not sure) owned by the goverment kaya imagine having all the chinese as your financial backers. you can do a lot! hahaha!
