What channel was showing it?
In a world of compromise, some don't.

Accord GTR

I think that was Sports Plus?  Yes, I always loved watching the GT races.  I like them the most, more than any other racing, as they represent the closest thing to  production models.  You can see more body movement more than Formula cars.  I thnk the JGTC or Super GT is the best show yet.  I read there was a plan to merge the FIA GT with Super GT.  The difference with Super GT is they have restricted power but the driver's are just as good and they have over 200 race queens!

I think that was the MC12 you were referring to?  They are based on the Ferrari Enzo i think and costs 1 million Euros!!!  I couldn't imagine how one could race those little gold mines.  They also have an example racing in Super GT.

Nice also the Saleen GT.  I think it won the 1st time out it raced in Europe.

One thing i like about the Saleen and MC12 is they look so much like the GT's of the '80's when the Porsche's and Jaguars raced in the IMSA GT races I used to watch.  But the Jap GT's like the NSX and Nismo Z look so much more modern in design.  They look so huge with their 330mm width tires and 15-inch brake rotors but they weigh less than a Honda Civic!  :)

There is no dishonor in losing the race. There is

Star Sports.

btw, the Italian cars (the Maserati MC12 and the Ferrari F430) lead their respective classes.

I don't think that's gonna happen anytime soon, the ACO rules that the FIA adapts are vastly different from the JAF rules of the Super GT. Still it would be nice to see both organizations race together :)
