Did you hear about the new changes on F1 this season?  Aside from the one lap qualification, there will be no spare cars, no traction control, no launch control, no pit to driver radio, and by 2004, they're removing automatic transmission.  Also, I'm not sure if they are enforcing it this year or next, but they plan to make standard rear wings for everybody, and they will remove all engine exclusivity deals, meaning anyone can buy anybody's engine.
This is going to be one interesting season folks!!!

splerdu

you guys better fill up with castrol and brush up on your F1-2002 skills! i hear castrol might be having a little contest with the winner getting to go to malaysia for the GP, complete with all accomodations, GP ticket and paddock pass. more details as i get them.

itchywitch

OT: splerdu..mag reg ka nga..sige na..just like old times sa insomniacs   :)

brief us! brief us! what? how? when? where?  :D :D :D

alu: let's watch together ok? someone better record it too  :)

Interesting is right. They practically removed so many of the things that they have laid down as standards.
I wonder how teams will work around this?
And are we expecting Ferrari to again push beyond the limits of these laws?  ;D

tintop

The good teams will always overcome these changes.

When they introduced grooved tyres they thought they would slow the cars down...but as we all know now the cars have just gotten faster.

Cost cutting measures...perhaps.......but i think the engineers and designers will just turn the wick up a bit more as they`ve done in the past and will continue to do so in the future.

Sayang though...Formula 1 is state of the art cutting edge technology, its a shame that hard times has befallen them.
