help naman guys, ano ba maganda racing filter para sa SIR? price? ok ba ang simota? okay lang ba lagyan ko ng racing filter kahit stock engine ko at muffler lan ang pinalitan?

samuraiijack

Mas ok bro yun K&N ... mga 3,500 yun cone... wala pa yun tube...

since mag racing filter ka palitan mo na rin un whole pipe mo, wag lang un muffler then mag headers ka na rin pra stage 1 ka na add 10% to ur hp  ;D

yup pwede
sbi nila much better daw yung knn(us) sa simota (taiwan)

i believe in the filtering department oo per in terms of performance same lang daw  :)

IMHO, ok yung simota kasi nde nya nafifilter ng maayos yung air so less constricted yung hangin. pag knn naman ok yung filtering kaso parang ipit yung makina eh. i suggest kung gusto mo ng good filtering at mas maganda yung flow ng hangin, try mo yung apexi na filter + aluminum na tenzo r or apexi + iceman na tube. fish out!

I beg to disagree with the bit about great filtering, more restrictive air flow. Because if the filter is well designed, then even if it filters a lot of dirt (and probably also restricting some air from getting through), it can still promote good airflow. Besides, I do not think anyone would want to have more dirt going into their engines just to gain that ounce of power that may not be significant for everyday driving, or even for racing purposes.

I do agree however, that the ApexI brand of filter is one of the best. Not only does it have good filtering qualities, it is also a maintenance free filter. One downside to it: just the filter alone may cost 9-10K

simota doesnt filter as much as k&n so harmful dusts can get into your engine.

k&n has the best of both worlds.GOOD FILTERING AND GOOD AIRFLOW.

but i agree with you na maganda rin ang apex i....

but k&n will do the trick for me...

kitams sabi ko na nga at mali ako eh. hahaha, i currently use a tenzo r + k&n filter, and i must say it DOES make a difference compared to my old simota + stainless tube. thanks for the corrections. nakalimutan kong mahal nga pala yung apexi na filter. fish out!

simota is cheap but from what i've heard, you have to replace it once in a while compared to the more expensive K&N that you just have to clean in...what...once a year?

Mga Chief,

Kase oto ko LXi, downdrop yata yung tubo na kailangan papunta filter. Pwede na ba dun kahit anong tubo basta yung filter cone K&N? Meron din bang diff in efficiency contribution yung tubo?

Ano ba magandang tubo for this model?

Help guys. Thanks.

How does apex make this kind of filter? Bakit d dumidikit yung mga dust particles sa filter niya?

R-A-Y

Of course dust particles still stick to the filter element, or else it would not be filtering anything at all

Anyway, Apexi uses a dry type mesh filter. I think the compound is cotton

ewan ko lang kng psychological or something ah pero i've heard people say when they switched from simota to k&n may difference daw...
We simply attempt to be fearful when others are greedy and to be greedy only when others are fearful.

bRri_GD3

nde ba k&n din gumawa ng filter sa apexi??? ;D
