Location is at the back of SM. No it's not the same location as the 1st Maximum underdrive. It's a different venue.

Little Nicky

It's an open class race, no categories. NAsFOR rules will apply.

Fellow OFFROADERS,

The Cagayan De Oro Off Road Club in cooperation with Caltex Delo will be hosting the 1st leg of the annual 4x4 off road competition for the year 2003.

After the roaring success of coordinating the past 4 legs, which were held in Davao, Mangima, Cebu and Manila, we will be bringing the excitement and thrills of extreme four wheeling from across the country to Cagayan De Oro.

On July 25 to 27, 2003, the 1st leg of the " CALTEX DELO 4x4 EXTREME SERIES OFF ROAD CHALLENGE 2003" will finally come alive at the grounds of Pueblo de Oro, Cagayan De Oro City.

This is an open invitaion to all off roaders in the country. There will be two categories in this competition, the the stock category and the extreme series category.

Should you feel that you have unanswered questions, we shall be willing to discuss them with you. Please contact "The Professional Organizers Unlimited" at 088-857-6223.

Very truly yours,

Mr. Agustin Macmang

PRESIDENT, Cagayan De Oro Offroad Club

Fellow Offroaders

This is in connection to the invitation we sent earlier. It is with regret that we inform all enthusiast and interested participants the the " |Caltex Delo 4x4 Extreme Series Offroad Challenge 2003" has been moved to AUGUST 1 to 3, 2003. We will still hold it at Pueblo De Oro Business Park ( at the back of SM).

As of last night, the MORI delegation has been frantically looking for alternarive means to bring their vehicles to CDO. As early as Tuesday, th 3 MORI vehicles and 2  other (Joel Miranda and Ka Larry Alberto's) rigs were brought to Sulpicio Lines. Unfortunately there was a strike - ship can't leave - vehicles stranded. But with vehicles or no vehicles, about 9 delegates from the Manila Off-Roaders, Inc will be in CDO for the race. ;)

Sulpicio Lines strike called off thursday. Vehicles loaded and shipped - everybody is good to go! Bandit, Kermit and Low Pro will compete in Cagayan De Oro after all! ;) ;) ;)

The Caltex Delo Extreme 4x4 Challenge series kicks off with a BIG BANG! All the BIG GUNS were there - no duds!

20th Rene Borbajo - Cebu Offroaders

NB. Richard Sy of the Manila Off Roaders, Inc. was in the top 15 but begged off to run in the finals because he had to rush back to Manila.

To call the tracks wicked would be an understatement because majority of the 45 competitors weren't able to complete their runs. Even some of the TOP GUNS favored to win suffered DNFs. Toten Macmang, Tim Tom Gempesaw failed to land in the finals (Gempesaw got the best time in track A but got a DNF in track B).
More info when I get back to Manila.

Congrats to the Manila participants that placed. Ronald, Larry and Noel.

45 competitors thats a healthy field considering the situation in Mindanao.

KALABAW

Is this the same Ronald from 199 Off Road House?
Do you have pictures of the race? Pls post.
Congratulations Ronald Mercado for being the highest placed Luzon rider!Congratulations also to Noel Bartolome of Team Delo and Larry Alberto of Team Suzuki 4 Wheelers. Go Luzon!
I heard Larry Mendiola went to compete, what is the result of his run?

Darth Paul

Yup. Larry Mendiola competed, but as I have said the tracks claimed even some of the BIG GUNS. In fact, some of those who competed in the finals had DNFs. Noel Bartolome did not finish Track A, so was Ka Larry Alberto but both did quite well on Track B which pulled them up.

BTW, we had a mini-AI Offroading EB (or mini mini EB) in Cagayan De Oro. Present during the race were Little Nicky from the DEEP SOUTH, Warriormonk, Bandit, Brent and me.

Cagayan De Oro Offroad Club headed by their President Agustin Macmang did a wonderful job in hosting the first leg. Thanks guys and more power!

I would like to congratulate the host of the first leg of the Caltex Delo Extreme 4x4 series, the Cagayan De Oro Offroad Club for a successful event and an excellent job well done.

And likewise we would like to thank the members of NAsFOR, Specially the Visayas and Luzon for actively participating this special event of NAsFOR. The event wouldn't be a success without you guys.

Congratulations to the WINNERS!!! We all won because the event was a huge success. TOPGUNS from all over the nation attended the competition, so I guess no doubt the event was a huge success.
