i have heard na mas matagal na naiwan sa auto mas maganda. how true is this?

pag polish mo how long will it have to stay b4 buffing it.
same din sa sealant??? and wax?? 4 finale.

una yung polish.  Then sealant or wax right after para ma protect na yung na polish mo.

I'll just address your questions...

How long should a polish stay?

It shouldn't... All glazes and polishes must be worked into the paint until the product breaks down to almost nothing... then remove immediately.

Wax and sealant, depends on the products.

i guess your question should be how long should i let my wax dries. basically its around 30 to 45 minutes but depends pa rin sa product. you can check it if you run your fingers thru the body of the car and if you see that all wax has been removed then its okay to wipe it off or remove by buffing machine.

does it mean na yung polish wud be 30-45min before buffing it same with the sealant and wax (finale). pra it will last longer.

Iba ang curing sa drying...

Drying is the process of which you wait for the product to separate itself from the excess product on the surface... This process differs from product to product, humidity, surface condition and how it was applied... if applied correctly, most products wipe off clean in less than 15 minutes... some even less, almost immediate such as S100.

Drying time has little to do with durabilty, mostly it's in the ease of use department that drying time has a factor in.

Curing time is how long the APPLIED product (meaning after you buff it off) takes before it hardens and forms a uniform bond with itself or with the paint... this is different from drying... With synthetics, the general consensus is 24 hrs minimum, while waxes can be between 6-12 hrs...

SIR theveed, kc i am planning to DIY na detailing so i purchased a polish(eagle one) , sealant, and carnauba wax.
hingi lang ng advice, after washing my car what shud be down my list of "THINGS TO DO???"
1. polish
2.sealant
3. wax (tama po ba?)

but my question wud be (Q#1) after applying polish and letting it dried and buffed, dapat ba apply ko ka agad ang sealant?

(Q#2)ganun din ba sa sealant after buffed eh apply agad ng wax. mas ok ba yung ganun? o me time intervals pa para mas OK??? help plss.. m planning to do it this monday na eh

mojako

mikbik,
right after polishing apply the sealant na, you wouldn't want to apply the sealant after dust has accumulated on the cars finish.

btw, anong klaseng eagle 1 polish yung binili mo?

Sealant naman, after you apply it, let it haze for mga 15-30 mins, then remove it with a terry towel or MF cloth.  Tapos depende sa sealant mo yan eh, some require 24 hrs to let it bond with the surface, before you can apply a pure wax.

mikbik

ahh ganun ba. sabagay habang hintay mo interior naman dba  ;). is there an indication na sa sealant na pwede mo nang i buff? yung eagle one is yung nasa ponds container Polish/scrath remover narin ata yun eh.

Mikbik:

Again... I reiterate... a polish or a glaze does not need to be dried... you're supposed to rub it then remove that's it... DO NOT let it dry, it's not how it is used... Read the label.

After you buff it off, go ahead and apply the sealant right away.

Putting a wax on top of a sealant has no added purpose... The wax will just weaken the sealant bond and will not protect any better than a sealant. It's like shielding yourself from the rain with a piece of newspaper while you're already wearing a raincoat... What's the purpose? Not much, just wasting product.

Unless you're doing it for a certain look, then it's something you may perform that'll make sense.
