Bloodied and weary entering the latter rounds, Barrera appeared no longer capable of taking Pacquiao's thunderous punches as his corner threw in the towel to stop the fight in the 11th.

here's what pac - man had to say...

"I know that by the fourth round I will win this fight. But I did not expect to end it by knockout as I was anticipating Barrera to survive the 12-round match." Said Pacquiao in a post-fight interview by HBO analyst Larry Merchant "Now, people will look up to me as a superstar. But I guarantee them that I will still be the same, humble Manny Pacquiao".

Galing! :)

Pero what does it mean pag 'non-title bout'? Then may next laban pa ulit? I mean for a title naman?

Dapat kasi yung referee na yung inupakan ni Pacquiao e. First round pa lang nangluluto na yung ref.

The contract with the promoter "Golden Boy Promotion" stipulates a return bout - most probably yun for the title na. "Non-title bout" means that the title is not on the line, the champion could lose the fight but not the belt.

Whether the Pacquiao-Barrera fight last Sunday was title or not is less relevant to Pacquiao's victory...  It was just agreed upon that if Pacquiao won, Barrera would be entitled to a re-match.  This is common practice in boxing...  Whether stipulated in the contract or just a gentleman's agreement-- a losing Champion is almost always allowed a re-match...

A rematch should be welcomed by Pacquiao since he's young and up and coming...  Beating Barrera a second time would erase doubts, establish his legend and put him in the same category with the best pound-per-pound fighters of all-time...

Great job, Manny!

Hi Guys!

Ganda ng laban! I've watched the whole fight yesterday!

After the crowds booed Pacquiao during both the fighters' introduction, I felt real bad kasi sobrang discriminating nila... but in the end, pahiya mga crowd... galing ni Manny! Tumba si Barrera! Hehe!

Kudos to you Manny Pacquiao wherever you are! :)
