well you can always get yourself an adjustable brake proportioning valve ;D

BTW if you opt for #2 this will necessitate a change in brake master also. (you will need to move more fluid to the rear of the car)

Sa #1 d mas ramdam as #2

I agree with kewlyrds...and go for at least dual piston calipers if you think you're making big power ;)

What break system (particularly rotors and breakpads) can one do on a 2001 RAV4?  Budget would be around P25K for the front.  Isip ko lang kasi recently had the front rotor disks replaced for P19K sa casa!  The sad part is the service advisor told me that the rotor disks of the rav4 are soft similar to the breakpads ???  So mabilis din siyang numipis.  Mahal naman masyado kung papalitan lagi yung rotors di ba lalo na at automatic yung car.  Plus, yung breakpads naman cost P6K sa casa.  Gusto ko sanang replacement (for the rotors) eh yung mas long-lasting naman.

Thanks!

you could have gotten a really good set of pads for that price na. harap likod pa!

speedy,

Yun nga e.  Masyadong mahal kung same ang frequency ng pagpalit ng rotors and brakepads.  I'm just thinking in advance kasi when the time comes na kailangan na naman palitan ang rotors & brakepads at least may alternatives ako.  So what can you suggest as replacement for front rotor disk (P19K max) and front brakepads (P6K max).  Thanks!

geezus could have gotten that for 4k more or less sa supplier ko

hmmmm

4k for the rotors then get EBC greens mga average na 5 to 6k

mga 10k lang hehehehe

enigma,

Grabe pala talaga ang presyo sa casa.  Anyway, yung yung rotors gusto ko sana yung upgrade na para mas tumagal and gumanda pa ang braking performance.  Thanks!

the closest i can think off is the ebc slotted dimpled rotors....they're around 20 to 25k a set.

The real probem with the rav4 rotors is the availability of aftermarket brake parts that would fit.

And besides changing the brake lines would give you more bang for the buck in terms of braking efficiency on the road IMHO

i suggest you get winmax brake pads over EBC.   ;)
