hmmm... since Autoplus is the only one with a Dyno, I dont think they would intentionally rig the run and lower your HP reading para magpagawa ka sa kanila.

Correction, its a common misconception that Autoplus has the only dynometer here. You'd be surprise that a lot shops has this service...I know automekanika has a 2 wheel dyno, Mato Tan has one but aint functional yet..and there are 5 more shops na meron dito sa pinas...

;D
where is the 5 more shop located so i can go to check my whp and how many different form the other dynometer ;D ;D ;D

Anyone with about 70-100k U$ Dollars lying around can buy a dynojet. In fact mura pa nga ang Dynojet although not necessarily inferior in quality / accuracy. The dyno is just a tool, an instrument. If the person/s who will use the dyno are inept / incompetent, you'll probably blow the engine inside the dyno cell.

You can't buy competency and experience, the likes of which Francisco and Raymond of Autoplus have. Many people think its the dyno that makes them so strong in racing but IMHO thats short-selling the know-how of their tuner/s.

1. Mato tan - Engine dyno
2. Automekanika - Jonas (near total sa libis)
3. PGA Cars - Mike Coyuito (edsa)
4. Prestige Motors - 2 wheel dyno
5. Warranty - makati (but not yet installed)

For telephone numbers, look in the directory...

PGA Cars don't have a dynometers they where plaining to buy one dynojet two year ago

RS_Sprint

PGA prolly never will buy a dyno anyway.

I asked one of the guys who frequent the PGA fun-runs if they would be interested in taking their cars to Autoplus and have them dynoed and they said what for? :)

It's pretty accurate when you set it up right.  It was off by 2 hp on a real dyno on a friend's BMW. :)

Hey guys,
autoplus would not cheat.to stop all the bickering who has the best mods, mechanic, tuning, money and parts...go to them and dyno ur car and put your money where your mouth is...at least wala ng yabangan and inggitan and away.the dynojet doesnt lie.ive seen it and its the best way to prove if what you did to ur engine really works or not

Clayton chassis dyno be yung kay Mato tan?

You sure? Sobrang inefficient yun.

Its designed lang as a tune-up aid for mechanics, so they can get the car rolling at highway speeds, and observe diffrent things while the car is running.

The rollers on a clayton dyno are smaller than that of a car's tires. Its very hard for even fairly low powered cars to get traction to grip the rollers without slipping. Any sort of slipping drastically screws up the accuracy of the test.

And for cars 250 hp and above, you'd have to load up sandbags sa car so you'll get enough traction and get reasonable (hopefully efficient) readings. :)

Yup.. not really inefficient.  It is best used for partial throttle tuning.  kasi you can put a steady state load without overheating the dyno.

dynojet is a great tool for WOT power readings.

THe best thing to do is tune your car using clayton and dynojet.

Sarap i-drive pag tuned pareho sa dynojet at clayton.

IMHO = In My Humble Opinion ;D

Welcome to Ai :D

A very reliable source confirmed that automekanika does not possess a dynometer. What they do have is a brake tester and suspension tester ;) ;) ;)
