bakit mas mahal ang LC100 compare to LX470???eh sa USA 55,000USD lang ang LC100 and 60+ ang lexus.. and no need to say.. LX470 is the luxury grade (highest grade) of the LandCruiser 100... (it's the landcruiser cygnus in toyota... became LX470 when came to lexus..) sa Phils.. 4.5m lang ang LX470 and 5.1-m ang LC100... why??

Baka naman Mid-East spec version yung LC100.  Taob ang LX470 dun.  Dual fuel tank, dual spares, diff locks (tatlo ata), winch, etc.

Sometimes it all boils down to image.  If my dad was getting an LC (between LC80 and LX450), he would get the Toyota badged one over the Lexus badged.

Simple matter lang yun that the Lexus just projects a pa-sosyal/mayaman image.  Medyo alienated siya sa ganun.  Unlike the Toyota badge, mapa-bukid, mapa-kasalan ayos na ayos.  hehehehe.  Although they are essentially the same vehicles, the Toyota assumes a more comfortable position in the vehicular food chain.  A little less flashy, a bit low profile.  Simple pero rock.  hehehehe.

I take it back.  I checked the lexus website to see if they offered the LX470 in 4x2 configuration but they dont.  They say its a fulltime 4 wheel drive with locking center diff.  I wanted to see the tcase specs but the website didn't have info on it.  I also checked the toyota website and it said the same thing for the LC.  I can't figure out why the price would be lower.

Maybe law of supply and demand or just a marketing strategy. Hmmmm...I wonder too..

Simple answer Lexus is from a grey market dealer without after market service support. The LC 100 on the other hand is from the TMP dealership.

Some Land Cruisers still use a conventional part-time 4wd system.  Very hardcore, naka-manual hubs pa!  Although hindi offered sa local market.  Saw one in Ust the other day.  Ganda ng porma.  No flares, steel wheels, vinyl carpeting.  WOW!

Personally, I don't think the fact that it came from the dealer would justify the huge price difference.  Buti sana kung maliit lang, katanggap tanggap pa.  Pero ang laki, eh.  Laki siguro ng profit margin ng TMC diyan.  Wala namang problema getting parts and services for Land Cruisers.  Madaming third party specialist for Land Cruisers.  Yung warranty naman would be over in (at most) 3 years.
