do you think Ford Philippines will be bringing in the Ford Focus once Mazda returns to the Philippine market?

IMO, I think it would be a good move for Ford Phil to bring in the Focus. I also think that the Lynx would be made redundant once Mazda returns and introduces the Mazda 3.  

Well, that seems to be the speculation everyone's toying with.

I dont like the idea of car companies rebadging their products. Mazda  wont be masquerading as Fords anymore if they decide to have Mazda back in the Philippine market.  Another sicko ploy is a Daewoo being marketed as the Chevy Optra, targeting the market of the Honda Civic and the Toyota Altis. well the Optra has been rebadged everywhere it goes.  i've seen a press release somewhere on the web saying it will be an Opel Optra in the middle east, and someone said its going to be a Suzuki in the US.  bottom line, its a GM

It's said that the last Lynx would be the facelifted one for 2004. The 323 line ends with it as well. In Taiwan the 323 and Lynx (Tierra) are sold side-by-side. I don't really think the Mazda 3 would be repackaged as a Ford car. It's safer to assume that the Focus will be coming in. I hope they bring in hatchbacks.

i would like to see the ford focus come in...yan daw ang aftermarket enthusiast's choice in Europe eh...so it would be nice to see it go head to head with the local civics et al

i think the focus will most likely be pitted against the peugeot 206. both are nifty hatches and both have brilliant handling.

if they sell it cheaper than the lynx RS...aba aba...talagang aantayin ko na yung focus RS...hehehe ...speaking of RS, I was able to "trash" drive err test drive the lynx RS during the Ford Day 2003 at the Fort last saturday....iba talaga ang factory installed suspension and strut bar...galing galing...the car is so balanced dare I say it?...its way better than the lynx's we use sa Ford Lynx Cup...hehehe and the torque is simply amazing... pwede rin pang rally yung RS...ganda ng suspension dun sa short dirt road sa fort...haay...its a nice way to spend 795k pesos

No way the Focus RS will be cheaper than the Lynx RS.. 2.0li turbo dohc, LSD in front, semi-cross tranny.

Even the Focus ST170 should be more expensive than the Lynx RS. 170hp 2.0li dohc, vs 141hp 2.0li dohc... Based on that, the Focus RS will be at least 2-3 model grades above the Lynx RS (if you include the Focus SVT below the ST170).

Yep. IMO nasa level ng Impreza at Evo yung SVT.
