I can't drift in the truest sense, due to the physical and mechanical limitations of my vehicle. If I can, I would...

hanap ka ng mountain pass.  meron dito somewhere past cogeo.  just be sure that when you drift, you're drifting towards the side of the mountain and not the cliff so in case you mess up... you'll just hit the mountain soil instead of falling off the cliff.

Drifting is a good way to learn car control as long as you don't mind spending a lot more than regular track goers in parts and tires.

My advice: Never do it on a public road, even if its not well-travelled..  Even if you're in a perfectly controlled drift, what if there's a ten wheeler truck on your way out of the corner? do you know which way the tail is gonna go if you apply the brakes or if you apply more steering in panic?  The only time I was able to drift with confidence was on this huge tract of land in Pampanga which can be seen from the NLEX and is now the site of Robinson's Pampanga.  It's not paved but it's very very smooth soil and gravel.  My bestfriend and I got a kick out of drifting his grossly underpowered old school Lancer, at least until a Komatsu grader threatened to drive over us because we were messing up his work which probably took him about a week to finish.   My advice, look around for construction sites.  Or better yet if you want to avoid stone chips on your rocker panels, go to subic, there are a lot of asphalted vacant spaces there, but make sure you go to your chosen site after five pm so guards won't be all over you.  There's this wharf near the bataan exit which should be empty by that time.
