I have seen many Lancer Evolution 8 here is it imported or it can be bought from the local markets what's ur perspective of this ride?? ;D TY!!

DTNS

it can be bought both in Mitsubishi dealerships and gray market importers.  :)

as for my opinions regarding the Evo 8:

USDM Evo 8 (LHD) - more liveable & refined than the 7 but loses out (just slightly) on power and high tech gadgetry. (271hp, no Super AYC & ACD, "just" a 5MT) on the positive note, it does have a proper fuel tank now. (55 liter capacity)

JDM/ Euro Evo 8 (RHD only) - it's a winner! nuff said!  ;)

meron na ngayun nag bebenta ng evo8 sa mga mitsubishi. pero limited number of stocks lang. but i'm pretty sure na hindi sya ganun kalakas pag binili sa mga mitsubishi dito compared sa ibang mga evo's na iniimport talaga. as for the car itself, maganda! :)

It's a rewarding car but it will bite back at you if you do not respect it.  I have driven one in the states.  It takes time to get used to driving a car with a 2-turn lock to lock steering rackon the street.  I am not keen on those tailights though.  Given the money I would buy it with no second thoughts. :)

A good car no doubt, more useable on a daily basis compared to older Evos due to the ff:

* better build quality - developed with a lot of help from Daimler-Chrysler
* higher (numerically lower) gearing - better for cruising, topping out at an indicated 250 kmh/160mph although you do lose out a bit on track performance because of this; then again you can always modify it for more power ;)
* bigger and more spacious than the previous evos

And also a better base for performance mods since the OEM unprepared chassis in particular is almost as stiff as a fully seam-welded and rollcage equipped Evo 4-6.5 TME. It is heavier as a consequence but only by just 40-60 kilos depending on spec and trim level.

I hate those taillights too.  Did Mitsubishi ever released evo8s with non altezza taillights?

RS_Sprint

Nope. AFAIK all Evo 8's, whether USDM or JDM came out with the Altezza style taillights.

Actually the Altezzas on the JDM Evo8 don't look quite as bad as the USDM version. There's a lot more red, especially on the base portion. The USDM looks like the cheap taiwan-made stuff. And then the bumper.. USDM has the ugly 5mph rear bumper.

I'm not sure if the pictures will show up, if they dont follow the links for images.
