Evo simply because it is far easier to extract crazy HP levels from the 4G63, and it has more wins (race in the Super Taikyu Series in Japan in Evo 8 form and in rallying, from the 5-6.5TME and even the 7 and 8 in the All-Japan Rally Championships) than the WRX, so the competion pedigree is greater and stronger.

That's not to say the WRX is a lesser car. If I got a WRX myself I'd be happy parin!

I would prefer the STI. I have driven both a STI and an EVO VII (no EVO VIII here yet) and the STI is a more complete car. The EVO is more hard core, but inside it's rather cheap looking, and feeling. The interior of the EVO looks and feels like a low spec lancer, except for the Recaros. The performance is very close... so you have to consider other things when making your decison.
I have a WRX though.. so I am a bit biased.  ;D ;D

The evo's parin.
WRX (lalo na yung bilog ang headlights)is have more Hp than the evo's,when it comes to actual racing the performance of WRX well I am a bit disappointed unlike the evo's especially evo 6&7(grabe ang drivetrain loss ng WRX,kayang kaya siyang e overtake sa mga tight corners especially  pagnagpowerslide na sila (ewan ko lang kung sa driver lang to,pero lagi na lang nakikita ko ganito eh,parang matatameme ka biruin mo bet mo is WRX then mananalo sa bandang huli is evo 6 or 7 dahil pinatay siya sa corners nasayang tuloy ang pera ko)).
Well that's my opinion.

More HP to all of U  8) 8) 8) 8)

Please.. don't compare an EVO to a regular WRX.. a STI is the better comparison. :)

WRX sti over the standard evo8
Evo 8 FQ over the WRX sti
WRX sti because of its engine noise. I love those boxer engine rumble. The evo8 seems a little bit soft since they released a US version, i really prefer hard, teeth jolting cars, thus i really prefer the evo7 RS, striped out fun.

before i bought my Sti, i test drove my friend evo8.

i like the way 04sti looks than evo8 IMHO

Subaru WRX STi  8) Brute power first, then match handling later to my own character. Besides, it's less expensive to go that way in mods.

from comparo test at TOP GEAR

the evo slightly edging the sti from speed and cornering.

but all the host still pick the sti, and they dont know why.

I think its because of suspension tuning.

From previous tests and reviews of older Evos and WRX's (STI's included) by the European (especially British) press, the WRX in all its versions has softer suspension settings, giving it slightly more roll and making the car more progressive when losing and regaining grip, something you want in an open road. It also gives the car better body control over uneven roads.

The evo's stiffer (by comparison) suspension has less roll making it faster on the circuit but more edgy and a tad less unforgiving when it breaks away.

Having been with Kookie Ramirez to BRC a number of times (he always asks us to go to SIR next time :) ) he told us nakakapagod dalhin ang stock na Evo over long drives whereas the WRX is a more relaxed drive, proof that Subaru really tunes the suspensions softer.
