i'd be rooting for england and france. too bad they'll be pitted against each other on june 13. mas loaded IMO ang mga strikers ng france. pati si cole sinasabing natatakot siyang harapin yun arsenal teammate niyang si thierry henry. and louis saha who scored 20 goals for Man U was recently added to france's line-up. deadly. oh yeah, pati striker ng juve na si trezeguet is also a forward for the french squad wanting to retain its crown.

oh well, ok din chances ng england with teenage sensation wayne rooney and michael owen. the addition of heskey for me is questionable though...pero solid sila sa midfield with becks, scholes, gerrard, and lampard.

One team I would like to see win the European Championship is Spain. My observation is Spain, well at least in the past few years, is like Brazil who has a pool of talented players. Kaya lang palagi silang banderang kapos, pag dating sa major tournaments wala na.

And of course, there is France. Ang dami din magaling players, Zidane, Henry, Jorkaef (spelling?), Touram, Desailly... etc...

si becks rumored to be out of real madrid nxt season. naghint na si perez eh about selling one of his galacticos after the dismal season and after they were embarassed by the last placed murcia 2-1 over the weekend. saka they have this 4 game losing streak that was the club never experienced in their history. who u think it'll be? figo? raul? zidane? ronaldo? r.carlos? or becks? ehehehhe

i think chelsea wants becks. he is linked with a move towards the blue squad next season. ok yun, lalo na with lampard and duff sa may midfield lalakas pa sila. chelsea must raise lampard's pay at least at par with hernan crespo who is receiving around 100,000 Euros weekly. if not Inter Milan and Juve have shown interest in acquring the runner up to this year's euro player of the year.

malakas talaga spain IMO. even though greece had a better standing sa qualifying rounds, malakas chance ng spain to top the group A division.

ray, sa destiny kasi they sometimes switch from supersport3 to supersport2 which usually features cricket. it ticks me off everytime they do that.

on some news, roberto carlos is near completion with his move towards chelsea. i guess one less galacticos for real madrid which finished fourth in the primera liga. with that, i doubt it if beckham will move to england anytime soon. posh spice and his two kids will relocate in spain daw for next season.

panalo FC porto sa champions league, pero mourinho will almost certainly sign up as chelsea's coach next season. after winning the cup, nothing is more bitter than seeing him go.

upset din yun portugal when they got their asses whipped by greece. actually they controlled the game but just couldn't get a goal until the final minute of the game thru c.ronaldo but useless nadin eh.

Anyway, saw the opening game when we had events in Dreambar and Podium for the opening of Euro2004. Man, Portugal was a disappointment. We were rooting for them (Syempre, sponsored ng Embassy ng Portugal yung event eh hahaha). Greece had great defense. Kahit saan palagi silang may pangharang, not to mention their goal keeper almost having extra sensory perception. He always knew where the ball was gonna go. So it really doesn't mean that if you have greater ball posession, you always win the game. Greece capitalized on the blunders of the Portugal team, not to mention their player miscommunication.

Now the England vs. France, that was one for the books. Ibang klase si Zidane. May maipagmamalaki parin kahit na nakakalbo na. 2 goals in a span of 3 minutes? Where the hell can you see something like that?!?!?!

as usual, Spain is under performing and under achieving again, after they lost to Portugal on Nuno Gomes' great strike. with a line-up of raul, morrientes and a goalie in iker casillas, who would have thought they would lose?

another disappointment is Italy, who has another star-studded front line with Alex del Pierro and Christian Vieri.

my pick? France. they are doing well inspite of the fact that Thierry Henry has yet to find his form.

im still keeping my eye on portugal because it has great players in Cristiano Ronaldo, Pauleta, Deco, and veterans Luis Figo and Rui Costa.

To win, England must make good its chances. Michael Owen should step up and Wayne Rooney must keep his temper in check.

what a heartbreaker. italy won against bulgaria but is out of Euro 2004 when denmark and sweden drew 2-2, fueling speculations that a scandanavian plot was at hand to oust the Azzuri. oh well, if the Italians only did better, they would not have been in that situation in the first place.

there was speculation before the match that there will be a conspiracy and i was surprised that the sweden-denmark match ended in a 2-2!!!! baka nga meron! pero that'll be so hard to prove that i think walang mangyayari sa case if italy wanted an investigation.

the roo fever goes high pitch in england, grabbing the headlines over becks. portugal-england na tomorrow and i'm gonna be sure to keep myself up for that game. focus will be on c. ronaldo vs. rooney. two teeners who can create chances offensively.

i'll predict a 2-1 or 3-2 victory by england on this one. owen is yet to find his form but i think he'll peak soon.

france was lucky to be at the top of groupB. i think by the way they are playing, it could be worse. even england outplayed them in the first game. they only got a tie with croatia, and they weren't able to dominate the swiss. lalo na nung after the swiss scored the goal  parang tayo-tayo na lang sila doon. timely sub by santini though, putting in saha which immediately created a chance after the freekick which led to a henry goal.

henry is back, 2 goals the last game. his last goal was beautiful. truly henry style... they shouldn't take greece lightly though. surprising greeks this tournament.

oh well, england and france got knocked out by portugal and greece respectively. england had it already with an early goal by michael owen. but after battling to a 2-2 draw, beckham and company lost to penalties. what a heartbreaker. but lets not take away from portugal. they played a great game.

sayang din france. world cup na lang.
