guys, newbie lang po  :-[

please help me decide on which vehicle to choose, mas ok sana yung feedback coming from vehicle owners themselves

escape xls vs gen 3 crv

maintenance cost
availability of spare parts
gas mileage
performance & drivability
resale value
overall feel & drive

medyo limited kasi funds and i want to maximize value for money considering the items above

thanks peeps and more power to AI

id go w/ the crv...

maintenance: only every 10000km, cost just the same as others..
gas mileage:mt 6-10km/L city-highway
performance: engine is good, nice to rev. ok ang handling, the suspension was a bit hard but still nice on highways(10 seater model)
resale: sold ours for less than two years...850K(2002)
overall: hard to part away from it...but we got another much nicer vehicle...

Correction lang po, its the gen-2 CR-V.  Wala pa pong gen-3.

To answer your query, its the CR-V over the Escape.

Gen 2 CRV pa din po, with the generation number referring to the body code (RD 4).

Yes. 3 liter. 200 Hp.

Mazda Tribute, with the same platform also shares the same engine but with 4x2 only.

Buy the CRV, better looks, updated technology, more powerful engine.  :)

The Escape is way too old already, under-powered pa. Takes too much downshifting during uphill trips.
