sabi ng tito ko mas ok daw mg synthetic oil kaysa conventional. ok lang daw  na every 5K km oil filter lng ang papalitan tsaka dagdag konti ng oil pero yung drain ng oil kahit mga 10 - 15 K pa. ok ba to?

i change my oil every 3 months..regular oil lang ginagamit ko kasi panay palit namana ko..pero okey yan kung synthetic..pero dapat kung papalit ka ng oil dapat palit din ng filter para walang sabit,,hehe

narinig ko kasi mas smooth yung minor ng makina pag synthetic and dahil mas matagal mo siya pwede gamitin sulit naman daw. ngayn kc every 5K change oil ako pati filter eh. sabi nga lang nila ok daw synthetic mga 10K yung oil, filter lang ang  5K km

I change my oil with 10w-40(Shell) and oil filter (bought from casa), every 5km or 4months used which ever comes first.Go to any nearest gasoline station (i recommend shell) for the change oil. This can saved you a cents and you can choose your kind of oil.

Yep the gas stations are ok. Just don't let them use their kerosene based engine flush on your car. It's gonna do more harm than good (see related thread )

according to my friend who is a chemical engineer for an oil company, the only advantage that synthetics have over conventional oil is that they are supposed to last longer.  performance wise, as long as you follow the recommended change intervals, they should perform the same.  i find it strange that even if synthetics are supposed to last longer, many of them on their labels still "advise" consumers to change oil every 5k.

for me, i just use the highest rated mineral oil, SAE rating SJ (?).

bkit wag ko pablow ung engine? nakakasama ba yung hinahanginan yung engine pag change oil para ma drain ung oil?

if your engine is stock conventional oil will do unless you really want to put full syn for better protection.

compressors have water inside and sometimes lumalabas ito when you spray. if water gets inside the engine this is not good kaya for me letting it drip is still the best way to do it.

Nag research ako online at obsolete na daw yung API SJ, SG at SH... Kapalit nito yung SL
