Mark Webber will race for Williams in 2005, the team has confirmed.

The news comes on the same day that Renault announced the signing of Giancarlo Fisichella.

A Williams statement said Webber has committed his future to the team "for 2005 and beyond".

A delighted Webber said: "The deal I have agreed with Williams today really is the most significant milestone in my career to date, and I have great expectations of what we can achieve together.

Theres been alot of hype about Webber signing for Williams and now that its finally official I think Williams will move forward  with a new sense of stability and purpose....Webber is a Schumi sort of character and will unite Williams dissarayed team

Im personally a big Webber fan seeing how he`s made lousy (Minardi) and mediocre (Jaguar) cars perform well..it`s up to BMW/Wiliams to now produce a car worthy of winning..

Mika Hakkinen
Nick Heidfeld
Antonio Pizzonia or
David Coulthard?

::) ::) ::)

my bet would be Nick Heidfeld... though either of the two former world champions could be Frank Williams' wildcard.
