since the price of our gas is soaring any good transportation alternatives advice like what car to buy? Or what car can make the most of your budget for gas?

Honda's i-DSi engines will give you good mileage.

1.3l i-DSi is available with the Honda City and Honda Jazz.

either of the following:

Honda City 1.3 i-DSi
Honda Jazz 1.3 i-DSi
Toyota Vios 1.3 VVTI
Kia Rio 1.3 sedan

or

any NA diesel pickup or AUV like an Isuzu Crosswind or Toyota Hilux.

haha! my mistake!  

combined with tipid style driving... maganda mileage ng 1.3 vios/city/jazz... yun nga lang you'd compromise a bit on interior space and mahirap makisabay sa mga 1600cc and up displacement vehicles (this is with regards to the vios..i havent driven the city and the jazz yet to know their potential for speed)

other wise i'd suggest a diesel auv or kahit yung mga 1600 sedans pwede na

I read in car review somewhere that Honda jazz gas mileage is between 16-20 km/l, which depends on driving condition whether city or highway.

any values for Vios 1.3? for comparison lang

guesstimate is around 10km city driving...ill measure again soon

diesel padin hehe... sana may mga sedan na diesel na mura dito... although baka mahirapan ang injection pump dahil sa quality ng diesel dito.

btw, 200D ko can do 11-13k/li traffic driving... pasig/cainta to makati daily traffic, 10 days na gamit before umabot sa 1/4.

900 km! Thats awesome. I'd be happy to even reach 400 km with a tankful of Velocity in my CRV .
