The incident didn't just happen to me, but a friend also called me just an hour ago (and this one's just a day after), and experienced the same. His version:

My friend left his computer on at home for a while then when he came back his YM was already disconnected and was said to have been logged in a different location. Then his mobile kept on ringing and some friends were calling, asking him if he's the one who was asking for mobile-prepaids-for-calls-to-the-states-because-a-tita-died (same thing!). Good thing his friends asked THAT person (Rrrr! That crypt!!) questions like, "if u'r Derrick*, what are u going to bring on Tuesday?:)", etc. He/she couldn't answer and would prompt then for like "sis, sige iwan muna kita, mukhang d ka naman makakatulong blah blah blah.." (Sis???)

My friend up to now couldn't access his Yahoo account, but he already reported the incident to Yahoo. We're sure no one knows our passwords. We really feel it's something like hacking of some sort. So guys be careful na rin.

Just some thought/facts:
1.   He/she's using Tagalog so most probably this is something happening HERE.
2.   He/She uses words like "sis," "timang," etc. (We don't use that :)) We feel it's the same person somehow.
3.   He/She gave this number for you to forward the load: 09218772143 (thanks Cha) and tells din that he/she'd pay for it on Sunday. Don't give him/her anything please.

To everyone who encountered the same, please share. Hope everyone becomes aware of such an incident. Not to scare you but no one knows rin kasi, it might already be happening in your account.

Question... Is it possible that it's caused by some virus or something like hacking? Scary scary super...

Actually a friend of mine YM'd me yesterday asking for prepaid credits coz he needed to call his GF daw. I just asked him "pare high ka ba?" and he didn't reply anymore.

Today I got several offline messages asking why I was sad, apparently I YM'd some of my friends with a "sad face". So this must be spreading around. Don't know what it is, probably not a virus since this is happening real time.

I just realized though, normally when I start my YM I don't have to enter my password since nakacheck yung "remember password" option. However for the past few days YM has been asking me to input my password even though the "remember password" option is checked. Chi did you have this problem as well? If so then my best bet is that someone is using a keylogger to trace our YM passwords.

Hack attack?!? I also advice if you are using YM on an internet cafe be sure they have no keylogger and be sure to log-off after you finish browsing.

Anybody find a solution to this yet? I have tried uninstalling YM and deleting all related files. Pero ganun parin, it still asks me to input my password even though nakacheck yung remember login option. AdAware and Spybot, even PestPatrol cannot detect anything wrong. Medyo useless din kasi if you change accounts since makukuha parin nung tao yung password mo.

Maybe if you log on sa mga cyber cafe? How about dis
message... ang dami ng nagfwd sa akin nito e

right click on the group name of your buddy list and click send message to all. Then copy this info and send this message to all the people in this group. A new type of buddy list will appear after you send it. The new buddy list will tell you exactly where someone is, who they are talking to, and if they have more than one screen name, it tells you what it is.........cool huh!!!!!!!! it even tells u who all r in the invisible mode

Yeah I got this a lot too. I think it's just basically people trying it out. Never tried it though. Thought it was a waste of time. No need for me to know the things that the new option will unlock anyway.
