I've decided to get the Mazda 3, but i'm little confused if its the hatchback or sedan that I'm getting. Both are gorgeous.

Thanks guys!

I'm a sucker for hatchbacks 3 door or 5 door! ;D

Get the hatch. Its got more tuner appeal IMO. And its less common on the streets right now. Plus more headroom for storage. :P

i had a similar dilemma, too... a few weeks ago.  ;)

the 5dr hatch really is a different design from the 4dr sedan...i don't think they share any common body panels. both of them look sporty, though. for now, the 5dr hatch is the less common of the two...but probably in the next few months, we will see more of this on the road.

the 5dr hatch retails for 755k while the 1.6S retails for 719k. th 1.6V retails for 780k. all of these 3 variants come with the 1.6l engine, activematic tranny, 4 wheel disc brakes, driver side airbags and integrated audio/climate controls. only the 1.6V however, has passenger side airbags, ebd, 6 speaker audio system, foglamps, steering wheel audio controls and 16in rims. the 1.6S and 5dr hatch share the same interior trim (flat black) while the 1.6V gets the red and black pinstripe interior trim.

in effect, based on the features alone, it would appear then that the base model is the 5dr hatch. however, it does have more headroom than any of the 4dr sedans.
if you can do without any of the features included in the 1.6V, then you might want to consider the 5dr hatch. IMO, bang for the buck goes to the 1.6V. but don't take my word for it...i strongly suggest that you visit any of the mazda showrooms and see for yourself.  :)

so the 5 dr hatch only comes in the base model? tto bad... siguro if ur planning on getting the S or the V hatch nalang.. pero kung yung R, id go for the sedan!

Hi Thor,
Like what you've said, both are gorgeous.  Win-win situation  :)  Personally, I'd take the sedan.

take in to consideration that the hatch is only availabel with a 1.6L engine while the sedan is available with teh 2.0 engine

yeah...features of the 1.6S variant are similar to the 5dr hatch, minus the audio controls on the steering wheel.
so, in effect, parang base model tuloy yong 5dr hatch. sunod yong 1.6S and then 1.6V. top of the line will be the 2.0R.

We simply attempt to be fearful when others are greedy and to be greedy only when others are fearful.

meron din ata audio control sa steering yung S model. no abs, maplamps, black interior, single airbag no scuf plates.

Mas ok yung look ng hatch, and has more room for groceries ;D

jaySiR

Sedan, kasi IMO parang station wagon yung hatch magmumukhang mom's car pero that's only in my point of view ;D
