Good PM mga sirs,
Hingi sana ko ng assistance, my ride is a 93 Civic LX, stock PH15 engine -( carb-type) ...
problem : sa initial start ng engine , rev goes as high as 2500+rpm after mga 30secs, it normalizes @ 1000rpm.

Restarts with warm engine OK naman at 1000rpm. Idling with aircon OKs naman.

San ko kaya pwede patingan....
salamat   ???

sir blackblood,

afaik, walang ecu ang 93 lx, as what tolits mentioned, carb yung engine niya.

ang alam ko normal lang na mataas ang idling pag cold start.    but 2500 at cold start and 1000rpm is quite high. pababaan mo siguro yung idling mo. afaik, 700-800 ang normal engine idling.

wala bang auto choke yung ph15 carb?

TsarColeGrey

Normal po yan... ganyan din yung lumang civic namin!  :)

mga Sirs,
thanks for the info......
made some comparison on my friends LX carb timing.
then nagDIY adjustments ako sa oto ko, adjusted yung two(2) pins? and yung black circular dial ( located sa back ng carb).
came up with this RPM reading.....
Initial start -  1000rpm
pag medyo warm na ( with or without aircon) - 800rpm
yung Idle up pinalitan ko just to make sure na lang.

OK naba yung ganitong reading? mga sirs

cold start should be around 1500 rpm.

pag warm up na engine....magnormalize to 800rpm.

tama yung ginawa mo. adjust mo yung automatic choke mo.

I was about to ask the same question about high idling during cold start ng Civic LXi.  PH15 din engine ko pero yung sa akin it reaches 3000 to 4500 RPM during start... mga 1 minute siyang ganun pag malamig ang makina.  Kaya ang lakas kumain ng gas.

I try ko po yung ginawa ninyo... Sana magwork din sa akin. :D

Matagal na rin ako nagtitiis sa ganitong sitwasyon... salamat sa autoindustriya... may chance na na mag-fix yung problem ng auto ko.
