-Andrew-

did anyone watch the qualifying last night at 1am?

Button snatched pole and was celebrating. don't get me wrong, i like BAR but it's just premature to be on top of the world when you know that your fuel load is lighter than that of the renaults and mclarens. qualifying does no longer says who's fastest and who's not. i'm still predicting a renault-mclaren battle for the podium. they were fastest during the prac sessions and looking at the qualifying round, their strategy would be to take fewer pits.

surprisingly, schumi is second. let's see how well he performs tomorrow but for me, a podium finish might seem hard for ferrari at this time, especially it's easy to overtake opponents at this circuit.

Jenson and BAR-Honda surprised the competion. It would be a shocker if he gets his and BAR-Honda's maiden win at this point but that is the goal of the team this season at least. Good luck to Jens and BAR Honda!!! Puyatan mamaya but no work bukas. Oks lang. haha. ;D

DTNS

the top 3 grid positions are like 2004 all over again! (BAR, Ferrari, and Renault up front) ::)

anyway, I think both Button and Schumi should be weary of their rear view mirrors since they both have fast-starting Renaults at their rears. ;)

I was surprised Michael got 2nd considering the 51-degree track temp.  There are speculations he may be light on fuel which could be the case.  Schumi 'owns' this race track and has won here with 3-stop strategies before. May pag-asa tayo mga tifosos  ;).

I think light fuel ang honda kahapon.
Can't mamaya.

Hooray for Kimi!!!  ;D

too bad for the Renaults, the Toyota of Jarno Trulli (he was on his way to another podium), and JPM. (tigas ng ulo... na-black flag tuloy! hehehe!)

woa, super lucky si kimmi this race, talagang reversal on what happened to him last race. may problem daw siya sa steering but his car held on for the win. sayang din yun dalawang renaults, really a bad day for them but it's good though coz it keeps the fight for the championship more interesting. back on the race na si kimi with yesterday's win.

yun nakakabelieve si rubens. started from P20 and fought all the way from the back to finish third. it was a good day for ferrari also.

BAR is again, pointless hehehee. even though they have a new aero package and a new spec engine, di padin sila kasing bilis ng renaults and mclarens. but i think they'll improve as the season goes on. medyo dissapointing yun williams this race, from contenders the last race biglang nawala. malakas yun balita that BMW will buy sauber and leave williams at the end of the season, that might be the reason for their dismal performance thus far.

nakakaawa din si JP. i  think he was faster than kimi on this race. kita naman eh when button pitted, talagang hinabol niya yun dalawang renaults and yun distance niya from kimi grew from 2 seconds to about 6 before the renaults came crashing down. from a possible grand prix win to 0 points, dissapointing yun.

IMO, the Renaults and the McLarens were in a class of their own during the Canadian GP. those 2 teams were practically dominating at one point in the race.

congratulations to kimi for a well deserved win!

It wasn't so much as race pace that got the Ferraris their podium places.  It was the misfortune of others.  I agree with DTNS, the Mclarens and the Renaults are ahead of the rest with Mclaren a tad faster than Renault.  That's why I'm betting my lot on Kimi winning the WDC.   :)

I saw the replay last night, Fisico's dissapointment was very obvious when he dismounted his car in the pit lane after discovering he has a hydraulic problem.

Sayang, it would have been 1-2 renault.

But that's formula 1.

Oh, and another thing, natawa ako kay Alonso dun sa conversation with Briatore (spelling?) when he realized that Fisico is losing pace, "what do I do, what do I do", then Briatore says something like "if your faster then overtake him" or something to that effect.

That just shows how good Renault's teamwork is.

Ferrari is one lucky bastard  ;D in this last race.

congrats to my papa kimi ;D.
he's the best :-*.

the reason why ruben got the podium cuz so many cars retired.  nonetheless, great finnish . . . er . . finish ;D
