I'm considering the new Focus. Has anyone got any sugestions, comments, advice?

A true-blue Ford global car.  Definitely worth considering.

Its a great car!! Very European.  There are alot of FOCUS fanatics abroad!! Plenty of tuner parts!!!

This should have been launched in 1999 rather than the LYNX.

Are you serious?

The Mazda 3 can hold its own against the Focus anytime.

I actually don't like the ford focus 4 door. I would consider if they launch the wrc version. Pero between a focus 4 door and a mazda 3, i would rather go for the mazda 3 2.0l

I think the WRC version will be launched eventually.  Just like the Mazda 3 sedan, after a few months, the hatchback came along.

If you went to that carshow in World Trade Center a few months ago, you would have seen the WRC Focus and the Focus hatchback on display.  The Sales Manager said they will launch the hatchback.

Anyway, the Mazda 3 and Focus are blood related so they are both great cars.

hmmm... i think there are some new cars that many would agree to be lacking compared to their predecessors...

nevertheless, i think the ford is attractive borrowing some european styling...

the mazda on the other hand, has it's lines from the rx-8, very jdm inspired, very nice.

I was a skeptic of the Focus but I was actually impressed when I was able to see it when it was displayed at ATC.  Euro styling makes it even better and a whole lot of features!

Ofcourse reliability is always a question.  Seriously Japanese worksmanship  (Toyota and Honda to be specific) is unmatched.  So if you can wait a bit try waiting for the new Civic, if not then take a chance and go for the Focus.  I'd also wait for the hatch 2.0 Focus though as well.

yup ! may nabasa akong isang thread na filipino na from us kasi may nagtatanong rin about this car kung ok ba daw etc etc  so yan sinabi niya tapos may pnakita pa siyang mga resale value nyan sa us ang baba bagsak talga ! so if yung mga taga dun a nagsabi nun ... i guess its true rin siguro if its brought here...

I like the Mazda 3's interior better. I find the Focus' interior a bit bland.

Focus looks promising!
