worth it ba? well depends on your intention.. i used to have 3m super black and i do get lotsa privacy and security. but also, i cant see a thing (sides/rear) pag gabi. although it was 3m magic sa front windshield.

price is depending also on the size of your car.. should be around 3-4k perhaps. or maybe a bit more.

alternative? maybe llumar. san ok? i usually have my tints done in winterpine or cats. malinis yun trabaho and no bubbles.

am now using new 3M clear tint (#6868). its got higher UV/heat rejection than the superblack yet offers better visibility. if you will be in the area of winterpine (araneta) ask for a demo from ed.

i think there's a lot of reviews done already on this topic. try searching it  ;D

in any case, the 3m superblack is good but too dark for me during night time especially on the sides. i had mine replaced with solar guard. so far its doing great for me. had mine installed at autocentro cubao. cost even less compared to the 3m  :)

i used to have solargard tints before. its like 3m' superblack. but the thing is, after maybe 2-3 years nag-fade na. natatakot kasi ako magpalit-palit ng tint kasi baka madale yung heater.

then, i saw the superblack ng 3m. yung me cat's eyes sa newspapers -- wala daw fading. totoo kaya?

i had difficulty with my solargard before -- kasi sobrang dark. but because of security reasons -- naka-set up sounds ko, me ipod and im planning to install dvd player -- baka kumuha ako uli ng superblack. wat  u think guys?

another thing, panu pla nag-wowork yung tint mo sa harap, hungryalien?

hmm i think may 2yrs na yun 3m superblack ko. wala naman fade or whatsoever.

i have ipod in my car din.. no problem so far with clear tint. i just take it off pag medyo "un-safe" yun lugar..

tint sa harap? same as tint sa side or rear.. para di mainitan yun dashboard and steering wheel.

try mo na lang medium black.. may vitara din kami, i dont think you can see anything at night kung superblack gamit mo.

i believe the solar guard has a 5year product warranty  ;D what i got is a magic superblack. hindi kita yung loob and at same time maliwanag pa rin sa gabi. btw, my front windshield, 1-piece tint. for 3m may possibilty na hindi kaya mag 1-piece.

if security is your main reason, i guess go for the superblack  8) baka lang too dark sa gabi

Silverado

naka 3m panther ako all around, 35 sa front, 25 sa sides and rear. one piece yung sa harap.

ok sya in terms of security, privacy and hear rejection.

nung una medyo nahirapan ako esp. sa pag park rear-first, pero after a few days parang normal na lang even on rainy days.

cost me 4k+, mas mahal kasi pag 1 piece sa harap, mas mahirap daw

san marerecommend ninyo na maayos magkabit/dealer ng 3m and solargard?

medyo namahalan ako sa winterpine, pero ok dun ang service!

go for winterpine na lang.. well-trained yun mga installers nila. i've tried some other shops and ended up with scratches on my rear windscreen. hassle!

samurai_rex

i am using 3M super black all around including the front glass/ windshield for 3 years now.

gives my eyes a workout at night.... it just takes getting used to.

great for summer. no sunglasses needed.

great for privacy.

head of operations smx convention center :)

i had my car installed with sunguard tint... so far so good... i had mine in super black all sides except the front.  i had a lighter black in the front.  visibility is perfect... privacy? tops!  ;)

not sure though about its quality... although they do have a 5 year warranty against fading...

I used Magic Medium Black of Solar Gaurd. I just want to get your feedback on the same. Here are my experience.

1.) Is this tint to dark or has poor contrast characteristics at night. I swear the Platinum has better anti-glare at day but hi visibility at night.

2.) What irritates me the most is that this tint seems to reflect ever light emanating from inside the car. At night, i can see my who gauges at my left window that i cant see a thing through the window. It like having a mirror on your right. At day naman, the tint mirrors the front dash which is also distracting. Is it just me?
