I was hoping someone could shed some light on what could possibly be bothering my car.

At first I thought there was something wrong with my car stereo head unit as it would suddenly just turn off then turn on again.

It would happen spordically so I thought maybe its either the head unit is old, being the stock headunit since 03, or the battery is dying.

While filling up for gas it happened again, except now, the engine sounded like it was gurgling once again, the SRS lights and the OIL and other lights which normally would go on when I initially start the car would flash but in less than a second everything would be back to normal.

Basically it sounded like the car was dying as if I did not balance the clutch and gas properly except it happened on its own, stereo would then die, and I would hear the amp and sub click off.

any insight please?

maybe the batt. is the culprit.

Baka na-reset iyong ECU bec. the battery died hence the erratic idling.

creepy

Something similar happened to my Civic.

Had it checked and, in the end, the alternator was the culprit.  Spent 3-4k on it, if I remember correctly.

apparently my electric power was dropping too much with all electronics on, headlights, amp, sub etc.

went below 12v I believe.

Just either have to keep headlights off or amp at reasonable level while driving.

Better yet, get a capacitor. Although I have no idea where to get one.

When I used to be heavy into sounds before, I would get my capacitors at Winterpine Araneta Ave. I'm sure other audio stores have it as well.
