Guys I have just aquired a mazda 323  familia 1996 A/t and im having a problem on its fuel economy i think that i reach at least 4km/liter which is quite expnsive for me

Ive noticed that i hve a squiking whistle sound when i open the aircon

Another is I always reached 2000rpm to shift and during the climb to 2000rpm the car seem having a hard time accelerating

hope you guys have any feedbacks regarding this thanks

What's the kilometer reading on the car? Mausok ba ang car? Get your car a tune up, which involves changing your oil, oil filter, spark plugs and if needed air filter. Have your car's timing check to see if its right (baka naka retard ang timing kaya walang hatak) and your air sensor cleaned. If it does not help, then have a compression check to see the condition of the engine. Check the belt tension of your aircon compressor and the condition of the belts, it might be slipping. If the belt is ok, then the compressor bearing or internal part is broken. How do you shift the a/t at 2000 rpm? Do you lighten the load on the gas pedal when you reach 2000 rpm?

dear sir,
dnaman mausok yun kotse..
yung mileage is 61,000... :P
regarding sa tapak naman kailagan tuloy parin hangang umabot sa 2000 rpm  bago talaga mag shift sya. and after the shift parang kaunti lng yung gain ng bilis nya po ;D
as of my knolwedge napalitan na yun spark plug

as far as what i heard mazda familia has only about 4-6km/L consumption especially the automatic ones. My friend has one before pero binenta na nila. sobrang magastos daw sa gas at mahal / hard to find ang parts.

Anyway check mo timing advance ng car mo baka sobrang mababa. May sticker siya under the hood that may guide the mechanic the proper adjustment value niya. Pag mababa kasi timing may tendency lumakas gas consumption plus lack of power when the car is climbing.

Pero pag nagpa adjust ka make sure na may timing light siya. And he knows which to short / disable before adjustment (if applicable).

i also have an a/t and i get about 6-7km/l na. mix of tipid driving and hataw driving.

have it checked at kia pasay. or check sa recommended shops sa protegetech.

my friend's 323 has the same problem...have the timing checked...

he's right...have a competent shop do it...my friend had some roadside mechs do the job...whammo!
