I just had my intake manifold cleaned. Before the cleaning the pedal was smooth all through out stepping on it but now it feels like its getting snagged and I have to apply more pressure to it to depress. Ayan tuloy kajot magdrive hehe.

Any thing I can just pihit somewhere to relieve this? So I don't have to wait till the weekend and have the shop adjust it? Thanks a mil! :)

hmmm...have you checked your throttle cable lately?

if it isn't broken/frayed/rusted maybe it needs some adjustment...

yup. dude, check if it got a bit twisted. kasi that would cause the friction in the cable. uhmm.. lubricate it? or just go change it. ;)

i think adjustment/lubrication lang yan. you'll need a small allen wrench and a small closed type wrench. forgot the size but i think its less than 8mm.

Drop it!

if its not the cable, probably the butterfly inside the throttle body is sticking..baka kelangan i adjust or nagalaw nung nilinis sa shop na pinagpalinisan mo..

hmm okay let's change the question a bit.. what are the symptoms of a dirty/defective throttle cable?

speedyfix

it sticks midway normally and/or is reluctant to go back into original position.

i also have a throttle problem. its a little different though. i recently had my matic b16a converted to manual, everything's great, except that recently, my throttle became a little bit loose, un bang may konting play na. when you step on it, nothing happens, parang wlang kapit ba, kelangan tapakan mo pa, para syang lumalim, tpos when in gear (especially from 1st to 4th) konting release lng ng accelerator sobra cya kung mag engine break, as if you depressed the brakes suddenly. other than that, ok pa nman, d na nga lng solid un accelerator pedal, parang maluwag until you step on it harder. i hope you can help me. thanks so much!

have it adjusted by whoever did your swap. it should take less than 10 minutes.
