Kelangan pa bang magpa port / polish pa para mag gamit ng headers? anu dapat ang effect niya sa pag install niya sa unmodified engines? what header brand do u recommend?

Assoluto920

its okay to install header without port and polish my ako meron headers but not port and polish. its will improve your cars performance increase horse power

Superman

no need to port and polish, bolt on naman ang headers, but you got to have a 2 inch diameter na exhaust pipe, so that you will feel talaga yng difference, pag stock lng pipes mo, no use ang headers ;D
For Competition, there's no Competition

RS_Sprint

OK headers without headworks.

i agree with all of them...but dont get one with 2" diameter...baka ma loose compression ka...cguro 1.8" ok na...it will gradually increase you hp...try sportec or tusco...

oks lang mag headers maski alang port n polish..kung magpapakabit ka rin lang pagawa mo dun sa marunong na like nodalo's dahil pag nagkamali sila magkakaroon pa ng loss of power due to negative preasure..nung nagpakabit ako ng headers nung inalis yung exhaust manifold nya pinatakbo namin yung uto about 2kms hayun 1and 2nd gear medyo hirap humatak paglagay sa 3rd gear halos d na maka usad at parang namamatay pa yung engine pag dmo rev up susss ang ingay pa..tip lang pag naikabit na headers mo hiram ka ng mechanic stethoscope then pakingan mo yung pinaka base ng headers kung may singaw sya ..o tagas ng hangin..

the diameter of the pipes depends on what cars. for civics both SOHC and DOHC, 2"-2 1/4's is the most ideal.

jaySiR

maingay ang headers but then the prize of having it is more HP and speed!! ;D

pure1600

maingay ang headers? hmm that i have to disagree with...it really depends on your exhaust as a whole...

how can u guys give suggestions about his piping size if he didnt post his ride? well, maybe u guys are friends..so you know the cars of the posters...my bad if thats the case..

about regin's post, regarding compression, it will not affect ur engine's cmp :D maybe he was referring to the myth of backpressure... :D

to try to answer ur question, u do not need, pnp to install headers. however, it would be better if u do so...if budget is not a problem....peace!  ;)

If you mean the backflow of exhaust gases, its not a myth (at least with the 12R engine that we experimented with back in college).  We put some cones in the headers to catch the backflow and actually improved the 12R's low/mid end power (we were using a dyno).  At high rpms though, the cones acted like restrictors and power suffered. :)

local headers ok lang ba? like muffler land or freemuff?......kung imported naman what brand do you recommend na medjo mura pero ok naman performance......i'm looking for a header kasi mga fafa..... ;D ;D
the SUN just BURST into ORANGES......

it depends if u are to drag get the 4-1 when in circuit get 4-2-1...for me i think type R is the best ok din ung dc na 4-1 and mugen

miko

m looking for a 4-2-1 header.....i'm not racing naman eh....pang everyday driving lang.....may idea kayo kung magkano type r na header and san nakaka bili nito?

Get Dyno-tested headers to get full benefit.

Or you can purchase sport-version headers lyk the type-R headers for dohc civics.

Malalaman mo naman kung valid yung charts if you get considerable Hp wag lang yung mga 20HP increase thats BS already. Most brands lyk DC/AEM offer dyno charts for specific models.  :)

Goodluck.
