All things being equal, yes but you will have to use high octane gasoline to maximize the effects of a chip upgrade.

Usually, the ignition timing is advanced to get more power resulting in the need for high octane fuel.

IMHO just get an S-AFC / ITC or the E-Manage from GReddy rather than spending on a chip wherein you are stuck with that setting. I've seen a lot of ECU and chip upgrades that gave poor / less power than OE because fueling was not up to spec to the requirements of the ECU or chip upgrade, especially for Japanese cars. In Japan kasi cars are tuned for 100RON octane rating.

well just look at the price difference .. chipping vs an safc or emanage is like comparing a civic to a pajero.. anyways.. it really depends on the person or on the budget.. all of my customers are very satisfied with my programs .. 8 out of my 10 customers comes back and buys another program from me.. so there.. good luck!

halos lahat naman dito pag advance mo timing nag piping sya! because of poor low octane ng gas natin. mas mura kung mag chip nalang sya. besides s-afc kapa with the poor gas hindi rin ganon ka effective

so what is better?

a superchip or V-AFC....

i have a Honda Accord....

Same lang ba ang V-aFC sa chips? but mas flexible ang V-AFC? tama ba?

thanks :)

I guess it depends then on how you plan to go about with your car. Edmond says madami siya happy customers so it musn't be bad at all. :)

But getting adjustable fuel and other piggyback computers increases your range of adjustability. You can increase the output / state of tune of your car (i.e. headworks, turbo or bigger turbo or more boost if you have FI already) and just adjust these piggyback PC's for tuning.

With chip upgrades, again you are stuck with the settings imbedded in them and will again pay a substantial amount to get it reprogrammed or get a new chip for your engine.

And hindi naman kailangan hula-hula settings ng mga piggyback fuel PC's. Meron naman dyno eh. :)

Edmond, I met someone in ZENO a few weeks back who mentioned he owned / operated that SUPERCHIPS dealership in Caltex E. Rod.  That guy I met was with someone else who owned an E36 M3. That by any chance you?

which is better kaya in your opinion? :)

can't deciede cuz i don't know anyone who has a VAFC or superchips on accords...

altimaboy

sa tingin nyo ano mas ok para sa lynx ko.. kasi may superchips daw pra dito.. i plan to modify my lynx .which will be more efficient than the 2. kasi i plan to turbocharge my lynx about 2 months from now..then what the next step for me a s-afc or a superchips..

dont know guys kung meron ba dyan sa atin who's doing a PCM calibration....

they are the guys who can crack on the tuning programs on the PCM,  coz basically the hardware stuff have eprom in it that could be flush and reprogram, but of course it needs to be dyno tested.

I'd go for the VAFC since it's easier to customize IMHO

edmond does not sell superchips. he sells pre-programmed chips for OBD1 ECU Honda Civics.

If you want to contact the authorized distributor of Superchips, contact DTM at Caltex E. Rodriguez.
