Folks, dunno how many of you have seen the new Ferrari & Maserati show room near the podium...katabi ito ng volvo and jaguar...

kakatawa nga eh...tapos na tapos na yung show room...wala lang yung mga auto...ehehe...yung pang show room nila nabenta na ata...ehehe ....sana dalhin ng ferrari yung challenge stradale...and for maserati...the spyder cambiocorsa....haay...sarap mangarap...sana manalo ako sa lotto bukas

I also heard thru the grapevine that peugeot will also land in the philippines soon and will be priced competitively against hondas, mitsus and nissans.....sana unahin nila yung 206 RC! woohoo! hot hatch! 2.0L 180 bhp..panlaban sa new mini cooper S!

ilan kaya ang mabebenta nila per year sa market natin?  

FYI meron na dito sa 'Pinas mga Ferrari pero hindi ba nilalabas sa customs kasi wala pa buyer, so hindi muna binabayaran ang taxes niya.

Meron nasa Jaguar showroom sa Makati gamit as demo car though.

IMHO their business model is not based on selling cars per se, just like PGA Cras with their Porsches, but kikita sila sa servicing talaga niyan.

You won't believe how many Ferraris there are here sa 'Pinas. I know of 7 people who own one, panay late model Ferraris pa, lahat sila same group.

actually...madaming ferraris dito sa pinas...just attend the manila sports car club meet every month...and look around

nung bago pa lang yung modena...meron na akong nakita eh...and yung maserati spyder....meron ng dumating early this month.....

so how much more ngayon na nandito na sila...i'm sure tataas sales ng ferrari sa pilipinas

My classmate's family once had a set of exotic cars including Ferraris, Maseratis, Beemers, Benzes, etc. According to him, they actually imported two of the Ferraris in that showdown at C!. Or so he claimed. He even shown me a pic of their silver Boxer.

lots of ferraris here already, attend ka sa mga club meet ng mga euro cars most are late models.

  Hi guys! napagusapan niyo ang mga supercars sa pinas, eh actually matagal nang mayroon nang mga iyan dito! nung 1970`s  mayroon nang lamborghini espada(max spd:240kph), mayroon din model 1950`s na mercedes gullwing 300 sl(max spd:224-256kph,depende sa rear axle ratio na galing sa factory), tapos may model 1960`s na ac cobra 427(max spd:260 kph, 0-96 kph:4.2 sec, 0-160 kph:13 sec), ano pa ba, may model1970`s na maserati ghibli at 1970 na lamborghini miura s(lumang luma na nga pero max spd:280 kph). actually pag naisip ko nga eh, yung 0-96kph nang ac cobra hindi lumalayo sa mga unang labas nang model 1990's na dodge viper! marami pa diyan nakatago, sigurado ako! manood kayo nang mga car show, nakita ko mga auto na to doon noong early 1990's.nakakagulat kasi na ganoon ang performance nila noong mga panahon na iyon!

I guess its too much of a hassle when you use your exotic sports car regularly. I have an acquaintance with a 360 Modena, an SL55 AMG and 2 Boxsters (his, not his dad's). He uses them lang on Sundays kapag may fun-run or trackday.

Too much of an attention drawer, especially kapag traffic.

I'm sure many of them would wanna keep a low-profile.

OT: do you know kung when ang next na fun run to tagaytay? normally, different car clubs ito diba? merong phil. auto sport fun run ata yun...was able to join one before...kaso hindi na ako nakaka-follow up...PM mo na lang if ever

I heard from the distributor of Jaguar that they were recently awarded the exclusive distributorship of Ferraris in the Philippines. I think Modenas daw muna ang ilalabas nila.

yup..same company sila...official launching of the show room is tentatively this June daw..as to when...hindi pa alam...wala pa kasi yung mga cars nila eh...

come to think of it, meron nang ibang supercars sa market natin bago pa dumating officially ang Ferrari at Maserati.

nasa market na natin (for quite some time) ang Porsche, under PGA cars.

ma-coconsider mo din ata na supercars ang BMW (E46) M3, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, at Jaguar XKR ah. pero di sila gaanong ka-exotic


di ba ata nakakapagtaka na binebenta ang ganyang mga auto sa isang third-world na bansa tulad ng Pilipinas?  

ung Maserati nakasalubong ko jan sa filinvest toll gate!  ganda!  malamang taga ayala alabang owner nun!  ganda nga nung nakita ko un e.  para bang ung scene sa bruce almighty when he was in his supercar, tapos biglang nag tabihan ung mga cars sa harap nya.  tuloy tuloy ung Maserati thru the gates, e paranga npaka trapik nun e! heheh
