May alam ba kayong machine shop na maka:
1. Balance ng crank, rods, pistons at flywheel
2. Balance ng driveshaft/propshaft.
3. Makagawa ng three angle valve job.
4. Makagawa ng male and female splines ( for custom shafts etc. )

Salamat sa mga sagot ninyo.

Yun ba ang sa tabi ng GMA complex?

No, thats CA Roque = on the corner of Bohol ave and timog? used to live on Bohol Ave about 3 houses down from there....lol. Not that one!!
Keyser is on West Ave. If youre driving down west ave heading towards edsa, its gonna be on the left hand side, i think next door to some tire shop...was there last year and i had a couple of turbo compressor inlet flanges milled out of aluminum blanks and i was quite impressed with the work that they did....highly recommended shop.

how about machine shops that are good for reboring the block to accomodate 81.25 oversized pistons to a b18c type r block.

Y do you need to rebore the block na pala and add .25 oversized pistons kung mataas na ung milage na tinakbo ng engine mo?

Benj

You need to rebore because over time the cylinders themselves develop slight imperfections. But you don't necessarily have to bore out .25 at a time.
In a world of compromise, some don't.

So benj,

What should i do then my type r ran around 34k in japan. And i'm planning to replace the pistons to b16b. Should i rebore then so that labor cost would be minimal na lang? What you mean by .25 at a time? Sori didn't get it eh.

Is this an easy job for competent machineshops? Will they not mess up my type r block if i ask for a rebore?
What machineshops do you suggest i go?

You really do not need to bore out your cylinders. You can rehone them in order to make them round if they aren't.

you don't have to rebore your block when installing b16b pistons. rehoning is the cost effective way to go since both pistons are of the same diameters. if u'll go oversized pistons then re-bore(making it larger) + re-hone(making the cylinder walls smoother finish) is required.

ah okey

so are the machine shops here competent enough to do a rebore and rehoning to true oem specs?

if u know some shops pls post the name and contact numbers.

jesper

nukee,

Can i ask who is your mechanic,  you've beeb asking question which your mechanic can answer.  Are you having second thoughts about his work in your car? Just asking

nukee

jesper,

i don't doubt my mechanic naman. Well, i used to be with revspeed kay bong. But, nagkalaboan ng konti so i don't have one now. Kaya i'm asking a lot of questions para just in case i decide to go with the project i would know what to do na. Well, it was just a mis understanding really, i have nothing against the guy he has good work naman. Kaya lang recently he's not talking to me so i can't ask him right?
