kanina ko lang nalaman, yung isa sa mga na-interview na officer na nag coup....bf ng kaibigan namin ng wife ko, he even went to our house 5 or 6 times.....even went to starbucks a few times (that was last year)

typical PMA grad, only speaks when spoken to....kaya i got bored taking to him.....(he wastnt into donkeys and cars)

pero na re-remember ko na....he was very disapointed sa mga commanding officers nya coz...araw-araw iba iba ang rolex na suot at parang pina-mumukha pa sa kanina how corrupt they are.........this was last year pa......i guess they are sincere, but this is not the way....kawawa tayong mga common folks :P

sinusubaybayan ko nga yun news kaninang umaga. honestly, i understand the rebels eh. sabi ni Trillano kanina sa news na yun government daw ang nagsusupply ng ammunition sa war in mindanao. common sense lang daw, how can a small bandit group have the resources to produce and acquire ammunitions over the past 35 years? mabigat yun bintang nya but u think about it, what he's trying to tell is that the military DOESN'T want the war to stop. why? because if it ends, wala silang kickback sa pagbebenta ng ammunitions to the Moro groups, wala silang extra income. consequently, mababawasan yun national budget na binibigay sa kanila on their efforts against the Muslims. i dunno if it's true but the allegations makes sense to me. 35 years na ang gera, di pa din nila matalo yun armed bandits sa mindanao? ano to? kalokohan?

most of the men are disgusted over the rampant corruption sa military and government. if they went through the proper constitutional process of filing complaints, etc. for sure daw masasalvage lang sila kinabukasan. they can't expose the stuff to the media either. sabi nga ni nila, what would happen after the interview and expose? could the television station and media protect them?

mahirap ang situation nila. they don't have anyone to turn to. the government are offering to negotiate the whole thing but to them, they are the culprits themselves. why would they negotiate sa kalaban nila?

i dunno, i feel sad for the whole country as a whole. if the accusations are right, then i salute the brave men who are in oakwood right now.

sinasabi ng press briefing sa malacanang kanina how damaging this would be to the economy and tourism. but if u think about it...short term tong consequence eh. if we can rid ourselves of corrupt officials, ten years from now we will be better off. it's a short term vs. long term view really..  :)

Definitely not the way to go!

Everybody has gripes - all of us knows how corrupt the system is. But planting bombs and taking up arms is not the proper way of handling things. Our military establishment has become so politicized - effect pa rin talaga to nung Martial Law wherein the military wielded such power over the civilians. Kaya nga maraming corrupt na senior officers kasi wala silang sinasanto. Pati itong mga batang officers ganun pa din ang mentality, akala nila sa kanila pa din yung Pilipinas. He who has the guns has the power?

While in some cases I agree with them (idealistic soldiers) dun sa issues ng reform, I definitely abhor their means. Okay, they might succeed now, but a year, two years, three years from now basta may unrest sa military ganyan na naman mangyayari - some entities will take up arms and start another incident like this - Wala na talagang mangyayari sa Pilipinas!

If we look at it as SHORT TERM - think again! Incidents like this will re-occur. Tingnan niyo yung EDSA, nag spawn ng angdami daming PSEUDO-EDSA. It's going to be like opening another Pandora's Box (hehehe, kakapanood ko lang ng Tomb Raider e).

It is out - the real terrorists are the people in the AFP be it young and idealistic or the senior and corrupt - iisa yung solution nila, may baril sila, may bomba sila - DAPAT SUMUNOD SA GUSTO NILA!

We need to change the system nga - dapat ipaalam sa mga sundalo or sa Armed Forces of the Philippines ang SUPREMACY ng Civilian Authority over the military! If we need to purge everyone - So be it! But definitely things like this shouldn't be tolerated.

The government and the military is bent on "branding the MILF as a terrorist organization (as of today hindi pa sila branded as such). These junior officers holed in Oakwood (boy, they do know how to choose a hang-out!) exposes the military is in collusion with the said group; selling arms and the likes - I remember a friend from the PNP related to me one time when he was assigned in Mindanao during the shelling of Camp Abubakar during the time of Erap. Everytime the military uses a larger caliber (napag-usapan yata ng MILF tsaka AFP na 105mm Howitzer lang gagamitin) tatawag daw sa kanila yung MILF sisigaw ng FOUL! dapat daw 105mm lang bakit 150mm yata yung bumabagsak sa kanila. Of course usapang lasing na kami nun still I give credence to his story. Anyway he is a captain in the PNP and mind you nasa speed dial ng cell phone niya yung number ng sattelite phone ni Abu Sabaya.

Al Ghozi? Obvious naman na pinatakas dahil sa datung.

Davao bombing gawa ng military? I wouldn't be surprised! Look at how they rigged Ayala center with bombs now. They do it so naturally!

So the collusion theory between the PNP, AFP, MILF, Abu Sayyaf and what have you is not a myth but a reality.
