Greetings to all! First of all,

I need help from the sound gurus here at AI talkboard...i have lots of questions regarding sound setup for my REVO...btw, i jus want to say that AI is very informative and a lot of help for audio enthusiasts like me. Newbie lang talaga ako sa sound setup kaya wala talaga akong alam. ;)

I have a limited budget of 15K, i have a KENWOOD KDC-510 40Wx4 HU already and stock speakers on the REVO.
I just want a SQ setup, nothing fancy. My questions are:

1. What brand of seps do you prefer? 2 way or 3 way?
I heard TARGA's have good quality, but, will it fit my budget?

2. What amp will i need and do i still need to add a sub? I dont want to sacrifice th space at the back of the REVO, if ever i will need one, where is the best place to put it?

3. What 's the cheapest CD changer that is compatible to a KENWOOD HU?

4. Lastly, can you recommend a shop to do the set-up?

Maraming salamat po! ;)

Hi Revo_Guy!

that's nice to hear! :) we'll always be here to help and inform! :)

here are my recommendations:

front seps: 2-way targa x-series seps -- P1,500
subwoofer: 12" targa sub -- P1,500
amp: 4-channel Fenton -- P5,500
box and wirings -- P5,000
TOTAL -- 13,500

if you can extend your budget a bit, get the JBL gto seps instead of targa. it costs around P3,800. so grand total will be P15,800.

*prices are only estimate. they may cost higher or lower.

regarding kenwood cd changers, im not sure but i think ginza sells them.

for budget set-ups, i recommend Intense. they are located in banawe, in front of ucpb. look for ben.

HTH! :)

Billabong,

TY sa suggestions...saan kaya sir pwede ilagay yung sub na di sya nakakaabala sa likod? btw, saan yung ginza????

any contact #'s for intense?

tnx a lot!

Billabong

Intense: 4136750, 7316479

drop by Intense na lang and im sure they'll be able to suggest locations for the sub.

along banawe din yun ginza.

Sir,

kung SQ ka lang:

-Small 4chl Amp, kahit 4x50Wrms (yung V12 pwede na)
-Front seps, pagkasyahin mo 6.5 seps..(mid level brand, bka pwede na Kicker EX)
-Rear Coaxial, 6.5 din (pwede na Targa)

Instead of the Kicker EX, may i suggest the JBL GTO.  Mas mahal lang ng konti ito.

yup, mas maganda pa ang targa kaysa kicker ex seps.

if i'm not mistaken, there are currently 2 "fake" 4 channel V12s being sold in the market.  one is the Taiwan-made MRV-F705 which has been the budget setup favorite.  the other is the Korean-made black and silver model, looking like the orig black and silver, but without the digital gauge.

even tho they're "fakes", they deliver good power and have good value for money. :)
