Just wanted to ask how often should you wax to maintain the shine of a car. Just had my car recently detailed and the detailer said that my paint is already  growing thin after performing 3steps and I shouldn't do it again. Instead he suggested having the car wax every month to protrect it maintain the shine right now.

is there a way to find out kung wala na yun wax? pag hindi na ba madulas yun paint meaning dapat wax na ulit?

kbh

not madulas.. partly yeah pero the beading it self...
makikita mo na wala na yun pagbead niya and wala ng height yun water water bead

you have to wash the car first before you wax dba? ano yun pinapa-car wash nyo pa? o kyo na nag wa-wash?? do you also apply shampoo while washing o kahit tubig lang?

kbh

yeo you must clean it first then wax it
ako pinapacar wash ko... tamad eh
it really depends to what extent ang dumi kung konti lang dust lang just use california duster or wash it with water lang... and you dont have to use that much shampoo when you have a wax protector

1bit,

Among all the different waxes I've tried, I find S100 the easiest to apply and buff off.  Aside from this, it offers very good reflectivity and depth.  However, it's not available locally yet.
You may want to try Mothers Carnauba paste wax.  It's a premium grade wax and very easy to use.  Mothers is known for it's consumer friendly detailing products.
You may also want to experiment with some Soft99 waxes.  I haven't used this myself yet.  However, we've had feedback from a member of another detailing forum that he's had a very good experience with Soft99 waxes.
Mothers is available in True Value, Cats, Hans Tools, and some selected shops in Banawe.  You can check out Soft99 in Concorde.

BTW, I do my waxing every 3 weeks.

ayoko rin sa TW wax... pero yun finish 2001 polish nila maganda. sabi polish pero i think its wax or sealant yan... prob lang is madami residue sa pagtanggal...

gusto ko rin sana itry yun soft99, pero ang problem ko dyan is i don't know if the bottle i'm getting is a wax, polish or whatever. jap kase yun writing hehehe. ;D
