Yup! As in my own opinion I like ported box than sealed type but i'm already using a sealed box because I cant use ported box , its just that it consumes a lot of space.

Now on to my Q:
I like to use a Fiberglass box but a friend of mine (an old timer in car audio) said that "sumisingaw ang hangin pag fiberglass".
So, I have no choice but to use wooden box. Is he fooling around with me or he's just being helpful?

i kinda find it hard to believe that there would be air leaks in a fiberglass enclosure provided it was made PROPERLY. i've been doing custom car audio for a looooooong time now and fiberglass is an installer's secret weapon when i comes to alternative building materials.

if your friend is still uneasy about working with fiberglass, i can build one for you.

WaZ

maybe he is just telling you that it will sound better on a wooden box rather than in fiberglass box :)

You're welcome to join us sir! 8) Pa-audition ng set-up. ;D

Anyway, regarding fiberglass enclosures... I agree with kewlryds. If it's done properly, there shouldn't be any air leaks. Sound quality should be good too.

Speaker work(Eric H.) start using fiberglass enclosure since 1980's.

And if the fiberglass enclosure is done right its impossible na mag karoon ng air leak.
