beware of Rabbit Buses

last saturday at around 4pm we were on the southbound lane of NLEX near DAU exit when suddenly a green kia pride sedan crossed our path and ended up in the side of the road. fortunately it stopped just in time before the slope at the side of the road was almost vertical.

kaya pala nagkaganoon yung kia pride kasi tinamaan ng h@yuf na rabbit bus yung left side ng kia from the headlight up to the rear fender. wasak talaga yung left side at durog yung salamin sa driver side. there were 5 people on board, isang mag-anak, tatlo ang bata. the kids were shocked lalo na yung middle child na hindi makatayo, apparently her chest hit something during the impact. buti na lang walang fatal. yung father had bruises on his left arm while the wife had a bleeding wound in the left arm also. pinakagrabe yung tatay kasi swollen yung arm nya na nagdudugo.

tumigil yung van namin at tumulong kami. hindi mabuksan nung father yung door nya kasi naiipit na talaga sa pagkakabangga.

why did the rabbit bus hit the kia ? the bus was trying to overtake another bus and took up the opposite lane.  the kia was travelling at around 40-50 kph only while the bus was doing about double.

ang pinaka-h@yuf sa lahat : tumakbo yung driver and left the scene..

buti na lang maraming tumulong at dinala yung mga bata sa hospital.

ingat na lang kayo peeps, di talaga natin mape-predict ang aksidente kahit anong bagal ng takbo natin.

gago talaga yung mga driver na ganun! Ang tapang-tapang mag-maneho, duwag naman pala sa responsibilidad nya.  I hope nahuli yung tarantado na yun!!!

may mali yung bus driver no doubt..pero why, if really true, is the kia pride going at 40-50kph in the NLEX


imho, i think there is a little part of blame which goes to the driver of the kia...but no doubt 90-95% na siguro sa bus driver

Kaya pala tawag nila sa Philippine Rabbit Bus ay pinakamabilis na hayop at maraming pasahero. Talagang hayop sa kalye, hayop magmaneho yung driver.

those bus drivers are a bunch of a@#h)(*&.  They drive like they own the road.  Buses should only be in the two right most lanes.  they drive so reckless, swerving all over the place.  maybe the kia pride was driving too slow, but the bus should have not hit the kia.  even if you got the plate number of the bus nothing will happen.  the people would have to go through so much trouble to file a hit & run report.  The police here really have no authority when it comes to traffic accidents

Dude anong bus line Philippine rabbit or yung Rabbit bus line?Dalawa kasi yun eh.
40-50 kmh sa Nlex saan siya sa outer lane or inner lane?
Parang ang bagal nun ang min. speed is 60 then ang max. is 100?
Natural sa nlex especially madaling araw na nag ca-cannonball run ang mga rigs kaya ingats mga peeps.
Unlike sa slex na medyo safe pa.
Naexperience namin yun especially sa road from tabang going to pulilan makikipagpantayan pa sa iyo yung bus.
Advice lang pagbigyan ninyo kahit labag sa kalooban.

it was a philippine rabbit bus

mabagal talaga yung 40-50 kph kasi nandun na sa part in between dau and the last tollgate which is isang side lang, yung walang barrier between the northbound and the southbound lane.. and it was around 4 PM

the kia was slow dahil hindi naman talaga makakapagpatakbo ng mabilis.. which was a good thing in that case..

naku.....mga loko talaga yan....usong uso ang karera sa kanila tuwing madaling araw...pero laging victory liner ang nanalo....ang bibilis! akala mo nga evo ang dala....mga loko mag drive....lalo na pag trafic...hindi lang pasingitin ng isang bus e mag sisiraan na ng sidemirrors at mag babatuhan at basagan ng mga salamin....hindi iniisip ang mga pasahero.....

true. last night, i was driving at manila city hall , tapos biglang kumabig papunta sa akin yung katabi kong jeep. swerte lang na walang auto sa other side and dun ako kumabig para maiwasan yung jeep. grrrr
