May issues ba pag pinacut yun timing gear cover ng b16a? I see this a lot and Im just curious if theres any hazard in doing this?

Same lang ba kahit covered? thanks!

I believe this is done when the aftermarket gears are large for the cover, or if you want more style in your engine ;D

These are pretty harmless. Just don't let any objects go flying around your engine bay. Of course, in our dirty streets, that may already be something beyond your control ;D

don't cut it unless you have adjustable cam gears or useless din na walang cover. the hole is meant to make adjustment easier pero delikado din ito if you adjust all of the time since mas malaki possibility na may mahulog na screw or something like that.

also, if you have the engine bay washed a lot this is not advisable or papasok lang yung tubig dun!

also, there will be more engine noise (the whirring of the camgears) if you cut it.

And besides, how often do you have to change your cam timing anyway? Unless di marunong yun nagtutune ng auto mo you don't have to cut the cover open.

Well it does make your camgear visible if you have a nice looking one.

Then again, there might be cases of pebbles getting inside. Or water splashing inside.

The risks outweigh the means.
