My brother just added a Kicker x-over.
Tapos makabit nung x-over nya nagka istatic na e dati namang wala. What happened?? Mali ba ang grounding dya?

that is possible, go over the wiring again.

btw, is the unit new or used? i can also be the unit itself has a problem.

it could be one of those occasions that a factory defective unit got through quality control...

or it could be just the wiring. ;D

Maraming factors. Wiring could be one, grounding could also be the culprit. Level-mismatched components  could also be a reason.

nasa x-over probably yun problema. dati yun equa and xover ko yun culprit sa static eh. got mickey to fix it for me.  :)

San pwede pagawa?

sakin kay mickey eh.

btw, don't use those noise supressors, they degrade the SQ.

Nihon installed a Scosche ground loop isolator in my set-up. my x-over is Velocity though. Before the installation, the static was whining like hell. After, zero as in completely nawala yung static.

So nakakadegrade ng SQ ang groundloop isolator? is this the same as a noise suppressor? ???
