Hi guys..my car is due for hilamos..my paint options with the shop that i chose offers anzahl and dupont only (swak to my budget). Which one is better and why? Guys I need your inputs please. Thanks in advance.

i used anzahl when i had my old galant ('90 SS) repainted way back 1998.  very happy with the results.  had it done by Elite Custom Paint Shop.  I think anzahl's top coat is very very good.  recently had my pajero repainted and i used dupont, based on what i know dupont is much more sturdy than anzahl.  sa kintab pareho lang, really depends on who does the paint job.  if i were to have another paint job, id go with dupont again.

hope this helps.

ElviN

if its straight color ok lang pareho yung 2.

mas ok yung dupont pag mixed dahil accurate yung mixing, computerized, you won't have problems sa pagmatch ng paint in case nagasgas/nabangga car mo.

isn't dupont more expensive? kung pareho lang presyong quote sayo dupont ka na IMHO.

Correct. Use Dupont if it fits your budget.

Depends kung Du Pont na urethane or acrylic. Baka mamaya acrylic na Du Pont ang gamitin kaya same price with Anzahl. Kung urethane based na Du Pont, syempre Du Pont. Ang layo naman nito sa Anzahl pag same price ang charge sayo.

elvin and brent are correct.  when you use dupont and you need to mix colors, mas accurate coz computerized.  bought mine in their store in shaw blvd.  highland yata name if i remember correctly.

i'd like to reiterate brent's point that when comparing prices, make sure it's apples to apples - urethane vs urethane.

thanks.

Thanks sa mga replies nyo guys. Probably I would go for Du pont. Urethane pala yung offer sakin both anzahl and dupont.thanks again AI peeps!

Computerized din naman ang Anzahl. I'm not saying Anzahl is bad, but its cheaper than Du Pont, so if same price lang syempre Du Pont na. Same naman na urethane base.

But Du Pont is a true 2K (two-stage) paint.

Buhayin ko lang thread na ito.

Just what are the differences between acrylic and urethane? In the philippines, which between the two would "perform" better, last longer, etc.

Which one is "easier" to maintain?

Are brand new cars painted with acrylic or urethane?

Baka you meant K92.

marvintm

Baka yun na nga yun sir Brent. may feedback ka ba dun sa k92 na yon?

Brent

Maganda naman quality niya, not as good as PPG though.
