Let's discuss, predict, rant and rave about the coming European gp this weekend.  ;)

Will Michael be able to come back with a vengeance and try again in doing a winning streak for ferrari?

How will Monaco winner Jarno Trulli and the Renault team perform this time in a regular track layout?

Mclaren?  oh well..  :P

Honda?  I'm sure they haven't lost steam..

So i hope to see you guys again at Teak Bistro and Bar this sunday at 7pm for the 7th round!   ;)

last race was a blast with a lot of cheering and jeering among rival teams.. but all in the name of fun and love of the sport.  ;D

last weekend, the guest autoclub was TACP.. this sunday, we've invited mazda club/protegetech to showoff their cars.. still waiting for confirmation though :)

there will be an open bar of jack daniels and mike's hard lemonade for early birds!   ;)

of course, there will still be the usual F1 trivia contest c/o your's truly,  8)   the F1 slot car race and F1 Babe Contest sponsored by Mild Seven.  ;)

Hope to see you there!  ;)

we mclaren fans are not expecting anything anymore..but we stand in solidarity and wear our mourning colors....since it's the last race this May

btw, I forgot to mention this: I saw the weather report of the Journal (the news show in DW-TV), it said that there will be rain in Germany this weekend.

looks like we'll have a wet European GP this year!  ::)

Agent J

that's good!  for a relatively boring track for the drivers, having rain during raceday will surely bring lots of different racing lines and overtaking maneuvers.   ;)

boy i can't wait!  ;D

I hope it rains so that we will all see another car-control demo by Der Regenmeister himself, Michael Schumacher.

Agent J

hehehe sana may river that runs across the track like the one in brazil which caught a lot of drivers unaware even michael hehehe  ;D

pero i doubt..  :P

After that fiasco in Monaco, Schumi and Ferrari are gonna be back with a vengance I guarantee you that...

The better part of racing tho is the battle between Renault and BAR as these 2 teams have leapfrogged both BMW and Mclaren..

MS is going to bag this.  expert na sya for Nurburgring.

DTNS

this just in: Kimi Raikkonen sets the pace in Friday practice!
http://www.formula1.com/race/result/720/10.html

though I wont count on that result just yet.  ::)

DTNS

looks like "business as usual" again during the European GP qualifying as the results are as follows:

1       1       Michael Schumacher    Ferrari             1:28.351

2       10       Takuma Sato    BAR-Honda             1:28.986

3       7       Jarno Trulli    Renault             1:29.135

4       6       Kimi Räikkönen    McLaren-Mercedes             1:29.137

5       9       Jenson Button    BAR-Honda             1:29.245

6       8       Fernando Alonso    Renault             1:29.313

7       2       Rubens Barrichello    Ferrari             1:29.353

8       3       Juan Pablo Montoya    Williams-BMW             1:29.354

hehehe! I reckon that the two Renaults will leapfrog whoever's in front of them at the start of the race!  ;D :P

for the McLaren fans, Kimi is in his best grid starting position of the season.  :)

even though kimi is fouth this time, i think it's gonna be hard for him to finish the race given mclaren's reliability problems this season. i don't think he'll be as good as last season until they get a new car that is capable of competing with the rest.

goodluck to him though this weekend.  :)

Schumi`s back to business blitzing Taku`s time by over half a second...but what a great run by Sato out-qualifying his teamate and both Renaults...sad to say even with Kimis performance the Mclaren just doesn`t cut it and it will boil down to luck if they get a podium...BMW has no updates for this race and its really BAR and Renault who have taken the fight to Ferrari..

But its a long race tomorrow and anything and everything can happen..

What the hell is wrong with JPM? Crashing into his own teammate at the opening lap... Is he trying to stress that he has no intention of staying with his current team? Something serious must be done to prevent future incidents like that.

Sato was too aggression got best of him when he hit Barichello. I think he was frustrated when Barichello got ahead of him as he was getting out of the pits. Good strategy for Ferrari doing 3 stops for Schumacher and 2 stops for Barichello to play the conservative supporting role. Another podium finish for Button who drove quite consistently for a well deserved 3rd.
