Shifting problem

i recently noticed na pag nag shishift ako ng gears say 1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd, 3rd to 4th... parang sumasabit... gagawin ko is oag shift ko... push muna sa neutral then slowly push it to the next gear... one more thing... pag nagrereverse ako... hirap pumasok ng Reverse, gagawin ko is release the clutch slowly then dun lang papasok ang Reverse! What seems to be the problem? Transmission needs to be pulled down na ba?

about sa pag reverse, my othercar has this problem, hirap pumasok, naggrind pa. wat i do is pasok ko muna sya sa fourth gear den sa reverse na, un oks na, almost all cars nman yta nangyayari to..

hala!!! pareho tayo problem... after about a month or more in the garage, i finally got the car running again now. i couldn't engage reverse before even with the engine off... we pulled the tranny and opened it up and it turns out may tama na yung gear itself and all the reverse synchros. spent more or less 14T on the gear set (reverse only) and synchros and now it shifts normally na.

if the problem is in all gears it may be a good idea to just get a surplus unit as prices from casa will tend to cost an arm and a leg...

i'm broke now because of this...

sir tsarcole lancer yung car niyo right? trty cheking the mounting of the shifter mismo, may mga rubber grommets sa ilalim ng base madaling madurog kasi ito, you could replace them with similar grommets or with bearings and loack washers to lengthen the time needed to adjust the mechanism. pwede din maluwag yuung shifter arm mismo. hth
