safc lets you increase/decrease the fuel by tricking the ecu that more air is coming in. its best for engines with turbo pero pwede rin sa n/a engines. another advantage is that it the blue vfd looks cool.

A good fuel management system will help modified motors whether na or fi. Stock ecus are meant for stock engines. So if the engine is stock..

A SAFC is a tuning tool to fine tune your air/fuel mixture. It intercepts the signal from your air/fuel sensors and sends signals based on your settings to the ECU for the amount of fuel being mixed for combustion. For you to need a SAFC in N/A you should have had at least (in my opinion lang ha) IHE mods (given na ito), adjustable cam gears, upgraded camshafts, and upgraded fuel injectors kasi you're messing with the air/fuel mixture na. You need a dyno and a wideband O2 sensor to tune with an SAFC properly. Kung daily driver lang sayang lang pero kung lalaruin mo then it can give you that extra fine tuning for that extra power.

I agree that you need a wideband to log your a/f mixture and tune it from there.  But a dyno, I think its just a basis to get your max HP and your power curve.

You can tune without it.

A daily driver can also benefit from a SAFC by leaning out your low rpm range for better fuel consumption

It looks really cool inside. Plus, it does correct the a/f mixture if you had modifications in the engine, but don't expect too much gain with this. It's more useful for FI cars, and also jdm engine swap cars, as the jdm ecu is tuned for different air temp, gasoline, many other factors.

speedyfix and autoplus can handle the tuning of that piggyback unit...

actually autoplus would be better for the tuning. or you can also approach a few friends of mine who do tuning on the street using a wideband o2 sensor.

they have had excellent results with all the turbo civics they make:)

IMO most helpful for Turbo applications.

But it still is an investment especially if you're starting palang (on that car). In the future you can match it if ur planning turbo or heavier engine mods.

guys hindi ba sya nagiging cause ng car fire sa engine bay ganyan kasi nangyari sa Vtec3 ng friend ko matapos nyang kabitan ng SAFC ilang araw lang lumiyab auto nya sa garahe nila habang kumakain sila ng supper. I dont know hanggang ngayon kung yung SAFC yung cause ng fire

Sino naginstall ng afc?
Street tuning pwede na, if you have the money, dyno tuning.
