2005 Australian GP

Another explosive year in racing is about to start!  As always, the Australian GP will kick off the season with another exciting race from start to finish as all the teams will try out their new cars under revised regulations and qualifying format.  This will be interesting indeed!  Renault and McLaren are seen to be stronger and more in direct competition now with Ferrari.  Pairing of new teammates will be interesting to watch especially their chemistry with each other and the team.

Saturday qualifying will be at 10AM on Star Sports. Sunday qualifying will be at exactly 7AM and the race itself at 1045AM.

Any predictions on the outcome of this sunday's race?  

I'm predicting an optimistic McLaren 1-2 hehe.. but then,
knowing ferrari.....

Hope to see you guys also at the Manila Speedzone for the Mild Seven F1 Club live viewing of the F1 race.  Lots of prizes at stake for the winners of my F1 trivia quiz.

Then at 2PM, will be the first leg of the 2005 Speedzone Sprint/Enduro Karting Series.  This leg will be a sprint race to be run at 58 laps-- the same number of laps as the Australian GP.  The F1 point system will also be used in the series.  The driver with the most points at the end of the season wins tons of cash and prizes courtesy of the sponsors.  Registration fee is P3,000 per driver.  Four main categories are Novice/Expert Light and Novice/Heavy Light.

Dream on!!! It's gonna be a Williams 1-2! hahaha...  I think Mclaren will get a podium finish... Sana kahit 3rd or 4th si Webber!

Its looking good for Mclaren so far.  I have to say they are the favorites to win Melbourne.

I want to see the performance of the ferrari especially that small wiings in the front.

That was a disappointing Q1.  We'll have to wait some more to see accurate comparative speeds.  At least the starting grid will be interesting.  We will see a lot of overtaking for sure.
