engine oil flushing

do you recommend engine oil flushing when moving to synthetic oil (mobil 1)? my car's got 67thousand kilometers on it

the problem with oil flushing is that the stuff literally dissolves oil and crud and all the nasty stuff in your engine...trouble is that after you drain the stuff out, some of it actually remains clinging to the surfaces of your engine parts, which would attack the new oil you would be pouring in...which means it decreases the life of your oil and parts...which means you are actually paying more to kill your engine faster...

The way around this if you can afford it, is to put in "cheap" oil after the flush, run it for 20 minutes and then drain that oil then put in the final oil that you plan to run along with a new oil filter.
