Do you think the 8 thousand price difference between the two is worth it?

Ive gone to the Pioneer website and both have 6.5 volt preout but I cant seem to tell the difference for the rest of the specs besides that. It seems practically the same.

Can someone tell me what is the difference between the two?

What is the lowest price I can find for both?

and will 6.5 volts be too much for my hi volt ready amp? (it says hi volt so it should at least be ready for 4 volts)

First, check the input sensitivity of your amp and see if it could accommodate 6.5v of input signal voltage.  But IMHO it's not a big thing actually, some pre-amp devices with line drivers give out 9v RMS of input signal voltage that will be fed then to amps with 4v max. input sensitivity.

DEH-P9300 specs:

1.) does not play mp3 (not sure)
2.) 4v preout
3.) comes with steering wheel remote (according to the manual)

4.) same settings for the front/rear x-over. (i.e. if you set 120 hz for front, it will also be the same for the rear channel).

DEH-P8650 specs:

http://www.pioneer.com.sg/storefront/ProductDetail/default.asp?ProductId=75&CatId=2,24,32

1.) 6.5v preout
2.) can play mp3/wma discs
3.) card type remote included
4.) selectable slope for front/rear/subwoofer filters

Thanks Raymond.

It truly is confusing. A shop I asked said in their manual it does play MP3s.

On the other hand, It does seem the that the 8650 is better bang for the buck. It is more customizable.

Will check amp again to be sure.

Thats great. Read my amp, it can handle a Sensitivity (rated output) of Max .2 V and Min. of 5.0v

It says Input Impedance is at 10k ohms :)

help?

Nothing to fret actually. Just set your gains all the way down (or at almost all the way down).

Hero33

So what does that mean my input is in volts? sorry.

Wouldnt it be a waste to leave the gain all the way down??

Wait forget that. I was confusing myself.

I believe a high preout volt would create stronger signal in the cable making it harder for noise to be added.

Is it then correct to say, the gain is just lowered to match the head unit preout?

Otherwords for those who are reading, the high preout just helps minimize noise (presuming cables and other things are done properly) from entering the system.

I think.

hey just had to bump this...

To the pros or anyone experienced with the 8650mp

are there any reliability problems you have encountered with it?

I hear the faceplate jams after a few months, is this true?

Where is the nearest Pioneer service center in Makati or San Juan?

Where is the nearest Pioneer service center in Makati or San Juan?

There's one on Ortigas Avenue near the Forever Living office.

Hero33

where is that close to? sorry I'm not familiar with that Forever place you used as reference.

Is this the road where the Meralco theatre is on?

thanks :D

I believe this is near Greenhills, the forever living thing (no offense) is right across or beside the Caltex Gasoline station along Annapolis cor ortigas. You'll see the Pioneer Service Center there.

yung akoyo lang sa 8650 is the knob to change the tracks, its all the way to the right, and you have to push the knob physically, sumasakit likod ko dun.. hehehe...

it looks nice though... bling yan.. plus tuning the frequency and the db of each freq... fun to play with!

you can individually tune the sub, fronts, and rears
