corolla st. wheel

just got a corolla xe 97...
the steering wheel's center or the horn area seeems like it melted or something.. i already bought a wheel from banawe. prob is i cant remove the centers on both wheels... do i just pull it? i think theres somekind of screw inside that holds the lower part

there is small philips screw under it (you'll need a long philips screwdriver). once you remove it, just pull out the front part.
