Benj

I may be able to give you an update on that camry and fortuner thing, if you give me 1 - 2 weeks to sort things out :)
In a world of compromise, some don't.

102 HP lang yung sa 4x2 diesel. :(

And they say na nagkakaproblema daw ngayon, nagdadalawang isip sila kung dadalhin nila dito sa Pinas o hindi.

We have *almost* the same problem. Ako I'm thinking of getting EITHER the Fortuner or the Camry. I wish I could have both! :)

Benj,

Ako din kung makakausap mo sila for me. We're going to get 4 units ng Altis this year for our family's business, maybe that could persuade them to let me have my Fortuner (4x2 gas) earlier.

Thanks bossing! :)

4x2 Fortuner will either have a 2.7-liter VVTi gas engine rated at 160hp or 2.5-liter D4D producing a measly 102hp.

Unlike the 3-liter 163hp D4D, the 2.5-liter D4D is low-boost and non-intercooled.

Installing a P58,000 Pbox (http://www.pbox.co.uk/ , available by order from Autotechnika) engine enhancement module on 2.5 D4D will boost its power from 102 to 122hp, torque from 260Nm to 310Nm.

On the 3-liter 163hp version of the D4D, power gain is 163 to 190hp and torque goes up from 343Nm to 410Nm.

engine enhancement modules from TTE (Toyota Team Europe) could increase the 2.5 D-4D's power from 102 to 128hp, torque from 260Nm to 300Nm. the 3.0 D-4D's power would increase from 163hp to 204hp and torque from 343nm to 405nm. (looks like TTE put emphasis on adding hp rather than adding torque)

anyway, I heard that the Fortuner 4x2 diesel would have an intercooled version of the 2.5 D-4D. I don't know if there's any truth to this though.  ::)

136hp?? it must be the intercooled version of the 2.5 D-4D then!  :D

johnqpublic318, DTNS,

I'm which one do you suggest I get? The one from Pbox or TTE?

Kindly elaborate on this please, kasi hindi ako masyado familiar sa engine modifications.

I'd go with the Pbox since it's readily available.

I don't know why pero I'm sorta leaning towards TTE, but either one will be fine. :)

Will these modules void the warranty? (Stupid question?)
