bro, i'm setting up my esi engine. ano ba yung maganda lagay sa engine? sana yung pwede maging daily driven at the same time pag hataw-mode lakas din... ano ba suggest nyo? cams? camgear? anong type? :) thanks

i suggest you start with basic i/h/e, iridium plugs, and you can have your head port and polished. you can also do a mini-me. vtec conversion using 20 lobed d15b head and the ph16 block.

thanks for the heads up :) i already have an i/h/e upgrade, open air intake, spoon layout 4-2-1 header, piping and tail end... i did notice improvements in performance, bottom end improved indeed. how much would the d15b cost and ph16 block cost? would the engine still be a daily-driven even with the head and block? thanks again

daily driven parin yun....mas madali kung d15b nalang agad kunin para wala ng gagawin modifications... ;D

BlueVic_8354

for the ph16 block... ur original esi block will be used only with provisions for the oil sneder (idadagdag yun). its ok to install d15b direct swap... wala ka na problem... pero as i have read sa mga articles and as my original plan for my esi... considering the 20 lobed vtec jdm d15b head and and 1600cc block it would produce a higher torque... same concept as putting a b16 head to a b20 block mini-me/frankenstein project... and yes it would still be good for daily grind.

If you ask me, turbo's too complicated for most driver's.  Unless you take the time to understand how it works so that you can fix it when some minor thing happens, it's not advisable to go that route.  There's more maintenance, both in time and labor.

How far do you think you'll go?  How much is your total budget?  If you have @P50k in the next year, just save up for a B16 swap.  It'll make as much power as a turbo PH16, weigh less and require less maintenance

sorry, i don't agree.  with a used t3, pasadya pipes, surplus hardware and a rechipped box with uberdata you can hit up to 200whp on stock internals.  good enough to eat any stock b16.  plus it's way cheaper than the 100k you'd need for a swap.

as for maintenance, just check water and oil levels, all connections and hose fittings every morning. then oil change every 2months.  this isn't too much work - all performance engines need this kind of tlc.
